#Nets and Bucks discussing possible compensation for Kidd. Normally first round picks go to coach's former team.

Wow. I think MJax is the better coach. Asked a buddy of mine if he thought there would be issues between Mark and Twin and he said Twin is retiring.

Of course. He rushed into coaching when he could've waited for Woodson for he fired which was evident

Someone on twitter said he should have been worrying about the 13 playoffs instead of his next career in the spring of 2013.

Jason Kidd has deep personal and professional ties with new Bucks owner Marc Lasry, and hiring him to run franchise is a real consideration.

Troubling part of Kidd possible exit - people in Nets org said last year Garnett never waives no trade if he wasn't lured by Kidd.

Interesting. There was a lot of speculation that Garnett was sabotaging Kidd early in the season.

Yea I was a big proponent of hiring Kidd event silly as knicks head coach. I was shocked when he took the Nyets job but had no animosity because after all his most memberable seasons were when the Nyets were getting manhandled by the spurs in the finals. Regardless he put the NJ Mothersugar Nyets on the made and that an accomplishment in itselt.

So anyway, we won 54 games and I figured Kidd would be made assistant coach. After all be was mainly responsible for 54wkns. We missed him this year

Now the circumstances are completely different with Phil and fish

In pursuing exit to Milwaukee, source tells Yahoo of Jason Kidd's ambitions: "He wants the Doc and Pop role (there). Running everything."

I guess working your way up doesn't mean much these days. A first time coach with total control, has that ever happened?

the amount of information available thanks to the web is very empowering. a coach can be much more directly plugged in to what's going on and make well-informed decisions if he has the eye and mind for it. kidd would not be the first so we may be seeing a trend. van gundy for detroit too right?

Van Gundy was not a first time coach. Kidd had zero experience.

Bucks officials under this belief, sources tell Yahoo: Kidd wants Phil Jackson-like president's role with Bucks - perhaps without coaching.

Lol Kidd isn't even near Phil's level he should stick to coaching or just enjoy retirement with one championship ring when he was a old man.

point guards or orchestrating players stand the best chance of becoming decent coaches. prokohrov may regret this. kidd was an all-time great player.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

I actually think it is a lesson not to hire your franchise icon as your coach, especially if he is a rookie head coach. Kidd seemed to figure things out but it looked like it wasn't going to end well when he was 10-21, the Frank nonsense had happened as well as the soda etc. It isn't ending well. I do think MJax would do a great job there.

Also, Kidd wants Pop/SVG power. No way he has earned that at this point.

I somewhat disagree

I'm a fan of coaches who paid their dues. You know the JVG, Thibs, Vogels

I think Kidd will eventually become a good head coach but I'm 100% sure he'd be better had he put in the time as assistant

there is so much to coaching that goes beyond x's & o's.

The reason I was never against hiring Kerr or fisher as because I knew once the going got tough Phil was there to settle the media and team down.

Same way Riley got involved when the Heat was struggling. Then suddenly th heat went on a run and spoeltra firing went away. Now you fast forward all these years later and Riley is let's involved and Spo has the players respect

It ain't that complicated

not sure that the values he expressed would go over too well in many parts of brooklyn. this was the same team that welcomed jason collins to the team.

A buddy of mine is a huge net fan. I texted him when this stuff first started and asked about Twin and Jax. He said Twin is retiring. Also, Jax and King are friends.
On a side note the Gamboa fight is a battle.

League-wide reax to Kidd/Nets mixed. Little surprise Kidd would try to end-run Billy King. Lot of surprise a team willing to let Kidd run it
