Development was WEAK on our development side along with our head coaches/assistant coaches
Our system/philosophy on combination of talents to FIT his skill set was non existent
His mentors and vets on the the team were CA, JR Smith, and STAT, not the greatest "VET's" and were don't exactly resemble leadership/fundamentals, DEF, and TEAM play
We lacked HIGH IQ players with NO SYSTEM on OFFENSE, and a FLAWED DEFENSIVE philosophy

On OFFENSE, it was, give the ball the CA and get out of the way, not knowing how or what he was going to do
With STAT and JR Smith playing similar roles as well

Our glue players were

Fields (who always played well when he had talents that played as a team prior to the CA trade and when CA was out where he played the SF)
When Fields did play SG, he played with Gallo/Wilson Chandler, forming a trio of players that were all versatile/high IQ players that could defend/play 3 positions

JJ (his mobility and ability to cover his own man, help the team, and recover was supremely under rated)
Tyson Chandler cannot play DEF by himself, while he played with

Lin/Baron Davis
Iman/JR Smith
Fields/Smith/Novak
JJ/Novak
Chandler/JJ

On DEF, we didn't have a defensive core, we had 1-2 players that could play DEF however, to play good DEFENSE, you need 3-4 players that have the ability to defend their own positions/possibly even helping at times
As Chandler got older, he lossed that mobility allowed him to help on DEF, however, we added many more players that were unable to defend their own positions and were mismatches

Felton
Kidd
Pablo

CA
STAT

Iman (SF)

CA at either SF or PF, while I think he is able to defend the PF much better because of his strength, lack of athleticism/explosiveness, and lack of speed/quickness in the SF position
STAT

RonRon, Shump has been in a horrible situation ever since he came in the league. Between injuries and clueless coaches he hasn't been able to progress. However, that doesn't excuse him from looking like a talentless bum. The flashes of potential are so few and far inbetween that I think a number of d leaguers could easily replace him. Last year he was a liability on both ends.
