Like this pick. This is one of my targeted players. I would have been real happy if the Knicks got Dwight Powell instead of the French player. Early fell into the Knicks lap you can't ask for more this guy was slated to go mid first round.

I love this pick. His energetic, bouncy style of play reminds me of a young Iguodala when he was in Philly and was just a holy terror all over the court.

I was VERY high on his younger brother and even though his older brother's ceiling isn't nearly as high, this is the PICK I love the most of all 3 of our picks

OFF, he needs much work, and those couple of inches/length makes him much less versatile than his brother, however, if he is developed properly I think he can play SG/SF and become a very good defender
He must work on his shot selection, handle, and ability to facilitate, however, he too has HUGE hands like his younger brother

These guys are borderline talents and some of them are redundant. we will be lucky if a few of them are still in the NBA in 3 years, it would be nice to see them actually compete on the NBA level before we start talking about a bright future..

another thing is are these guys going to play.. many folks around here want to keep carmelo.. well he is trying to win now.. what kind of chance are these guys going to get if we are in win now mode..

This guy reminds me of Michael Cooper. great athlete, great defense, raw offensively
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

guys whom get to make it or drafted
which are gifted atheletically, energetic and defender minded, if these things are what they do best
the other parts of their game will be developed and will always have a role or NBA job in league.
These guys are what I called "INTO IT" meaning they stamp their own identity & what impact they make
when their number is called to go in the game.

This guy I dont know much about but from highlights he seems like a Cooper type, P.Pressey type skills

You can do great things in pro ball without having gift of putting ball in hoop for points

Look no further than HOF'er / Champion Dennis Rodman, carved a niche & great career
for what he brought each times out on court despite his offcourt antics.
Phil J. seem to have a plan & show me he knows what he is doing OR trying to at least

I really hope this guy gets significant minutes because I can't wait to hear Walt Frazier try to pronounce it.

Maybe he can be like Ariza. Develop his shot eventually. At least he does not look like he dribbles with his head down.

Knicks to stash Greek Freak’s brother in Europe
By Marc BermanJuly 7, 2014 | 3:46pm

Greece’s Thanasis Antetokounmpo will be able to show his skills when the Knicks open their Las Vegas Summer League schedule Friday, but The Post has learned it is expected to be the last American venue for their second-round selection for a while.

According to a source close to the defensive specialist, the Knicks drafted him with plans of stashing him in Europe for one season, even if he has a solid summer league showing. The Knicks have their first summer-league practice Tuesday in Las Vegas. Antetokounmpo was selected by the Knicks with the 51st pick, which they acquired as part of the Mavericks trade that sent Tyson Chandler to Dallas.

The Post reported last week a Greek team was interested in signing the 21-year-old brother of Bucks rookie revelation Giannis Antetokounmpo, known as “The Greek Freak.”

Thanasis played last season in the D-League with the Delaware franchise, averaging 12 points and four rebounds. But the 6-foot-7 guard needs more seasoning in team president Phil Jackson’s eyes, though the organization loves his tenacity. Jackson also doesn’t want to waste one of his 15 roster spots. It is unclear which team Antetokounmpo will play for in Europe.

The summer league will be highlighted by second-round pick Cleanthony Early of Wichita State, who the Knicks thought would go in the mid- to late first round. He has been called the steal of the second round by many experts, and the Knicks believe he’ll thrive in the triangle offense.
Knicks officials have not commented yet on their draft picks.
