TKF and D7ths worst nightmare will be to see Melo win a championship for New York. They would call it illegal and it don't count because Melo played in the game.

I think it's safe to say - there's no way in hell that will happen.

Yeah, seriously. He didn't even say "would" - he said "will" be to see. Wow.

i will tell you what will happen: melo is going to be shown the door [hallelujah]: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/18/sports/basketball/knicks-are-changing-with-or-without-carmelo-anthony.html?ref=basketball&_r=0

when this happens then all the melo fluffers across all knick forums everywhere will be up in arms so they don't have to pay attention to the egg on their face. then they will predictably start hating on jackson and fisher through the next season.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

See, this is where your Melohate clouds your very limited cognitive abilities.

Did we Homers give two sheets about melo in Denver? Did we? I know I could care less. We like Melo because he's on the Knicks. He plays for our team. I truly don't remember seeing a Youtube Melo Thread until he was actually on the Knicks. I don't remember PapaBear or any other of us homers wheedling our time away starting threads and talking about Melo until and around the time of the trade.

You hate Melo, and think anyone cheering for your fat, unidimensional, cancerous pariah is obviously tied to his tiny little gonads for life. This, unfortunately for you, is not the case.

Will we be sad to him go? Like our vaunted, egregiously overpaid GM/President/Franchise Saviour has said, we will be fortunate if he stays.

If Melo becomes an ex-Knick, and we suhuck (like we did before Melo got here), as opposed to making the playoffs 3 out of 4 years and winning anything at all, then you will still be happy.

It's a win/win for you, as long as Melo leaves.

For those of us who actually like the Knicks, no matter what, without all the self-entitled, GM-genius-wannabe rantings, beeyatching about what we fans deserve and we goddammit won't put up with (or support with our dollars) anymore!, we will still be here, watching and hoping for that next chip.

That would include not hating on PJax and his little protege, who, I don't believe, anyone in Homerville has anything against.

Be a hater! Be proud! Just don't project your hate to those of us who don't.

yea... you can see them gearing up for all the "we told you so" and "we were right all along." Typical short dick mentality.

Knick *fans* want to see the team do well with or without Melo. Kind of how I really wanted Gallo to be great. Kind of like how I really wanted Mosgov and Chandler to be great. Kind of how I wanted to Jamal Crawford and David Lee to learn defense and be great. Why? Because I want the Knicks to be great. So unless the guy on my team runs a dog fighting ring or is into international human trafficking Im going to root for that person to do well.

What's pathetic, utterly pathetic is hoping for a 7 time all star in the prime of his carrer to walk for nothing so you can point out the "egg on everyone's face."

You, DK, are a douchebag.

the last few seasons it has been the new york melobockers. everything and i mean EVERY decision has been made to accommodate this ****ing tool and his outrageous contract and ****ty game. it is not going to happen again. if he stays then man, are we fortunate. however: if he walks then man, are we fortunate. i am all about moving forward. moving forward means this moron will be forced to toe the company line or get benched, "marburied." that's what jackson's big contract is all about-- leverage with overpaid, pampered, entitlement-centric players.

melo is a dinosaur-- the league has moved on from this sort of player, and it looks like the knicks have moved on too. just watch what happens with him, where he ends up and for how much. he's going to be stuck in a no-win situation no matter where he ends up.

i LOVE THIS part

“I’m all about moving forward,” he said. “Just deal with what is and move forward. If it’s in the cards, man, are we fortunate. If it’s not in the cards, man, are we fortunate. We’re going forward, anyway.”

When was the last time you heard such a thing relative to an N.B.A. franchise player in the middle of his prime? These are athletes who typically make groveling supplicants of front-office folks, whose mere sneeze brings some poor flunky running with a Kleenex.

thats the point, I don't think anyone in their right mind view carmelo with such high regards... could you imagine any franchise asking lebron or Durant to take a paycut?.. now lebron volunteered to do so, but no franchise is making that kind of demand of him.. there is a reason why Phil mentions the pay cut to the media and to carmelo again. I honestly do think he doesn't care if he leaves or stay, and for me, that is just GREAT!!! Do not let this clown hold this franchise hostage!!!

Time to move forward!!! I love it..

well that is the problem JROD, what kind of standards are those.. this is the very reason why this board becomes littered with unrealistic expectations and post.. because people just root for a guy because he is on the knicks.. honestly does that really make any sense? where are the standards?

I didn't like carmelo in Denver and I don't like him in NY.. when he leaves. I still won't like him.. consistency..

so let me get this straight... if there is a player in the league who plays the game and conducts himself in a manner contradictory to what you believe in as a fan... as long as he comes to NY, all is good?

Like fish said, did Melo kill puppies? Run a child slavery ring? Spread AIDS on purpose?
I wasn't a great fan of Marbury, ever. But I wanted him to excel as a Knick, because, I'm a Knick fan.

Melo doesn't play the game or conduct himself in a manner that you agree with? Did Marbury? Did Sprewell?

So the intelligent fan goes up and down the roster and sheets on the team because he doesn't approve of his game, his attitude, his headband, his face?

It's basketball, tkf. It's not life and death. Melo is not raising your children for you.

Yes, I root for the Knicks. Whether it's Pat Cummings or Pat Ewing.

Be a hater! Be proud! Just don't project your hate to those of us who don't.

well that is the problem JROD, what kind of standards are those.. this is the very reason why this board becomes littered with unrealistic expectations and post.. because people just root for a guy because he is on the knicks.. honestly does that really make any sense? where are the standards?

No, what carmelo did was help ruin this team... and as a knick fan that should be all that matters here.. not killing puppies or spreading aids on purpose..

then follow your own advice. why are you so concerned about how I feel about him. you do realize in a thread where someone accused me of not liking the knicks. your only concern was that I didn't like carmelo..

I think you need to take your own advice mr whipple and not squeeze the charmin...

i mean obviously i hated the trade, and the heart of the matter was not that we gave up way too much and paid him way too much, but that I DO NOT LIKE HIS GAME. he is a divisive player for a very good reason.

that means that, like boozer or any other player whose game i don't like, i am not going to change my mind because he is wearing a knick uniform. that's stupid.

now, on the other hand, if we had made a trade for a player like pierce or garnett at similar points in their career-- and whose games i admire-- i think the hypocrisy of a good many posters would be exposed.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

No opinion on Carmelo. He said he couldn't care less about him when he was in Denver. Doesn't mean he hated him. He just wasn't concerned one way or another.

And obviously at the time I didn't like what Melo did and I still think hes a complete b**ch for that.

I hate JR Smith. Don't like one thing about him. However, if him doing well means the Knicks doing well, I can get behind that. I'm not gonna hope for the team to crash and burn just because he's on it.
