Luck is a big factor. Spurs got spotted a 2-0 lead when Ibaka got hurt. Without it? I dunno! Miami maybe matches up better than Thunder and has its threepeat? Best teams don't always win it all.
Diaw shakes loose by Bobcats and becomes a big factor. Kawhi Leonard was a very high prospect and he falls to 15th. Some had him as the 5th best prospect in that draft.
Many moons and stars have to line up. Remember the 90's? WE contended but it never lined up for us. MDA and the Sun's had a two year window they could not get thru. Thunder have a great team and have had chances. Dallas 4 years ago being down 0-2 got a break when Miami went into coast mode after they took their foot off the throddle and used that sliver to build a momentum Miami could not stop. Heat could very well be looking at a 4peat with a bit more luck. They could have just had one chip as well. They were lucky East was as weak. They were fortunate Deron has been injured as Nyets Could have given them a real bad time.
NBA and NHL championships are the hardest to win. NBA usually the best team does rise up. NHL is about momentum.
