What about you friends friend? Doe she like to stretch the truth?

That I can't say, but the friend of a friend is a successful person who is in the know. Don't really want to make it more than it is.

I'll just note that all three people involved love Melo, and would like to see him stay. I can understand mocking, or putting down the messenger, because Internet. But in the end I'm just someone whos been on Ultimateknicks since 2003, passing along something someone I trust told me.

What kind of crying though? A catch in the throat? Single tear? Muffled whimpers? Out-and-out bawling?

It's the crying part of this blind item that needs some fleshing out!

lol i love how everyone asks questions about his friend. he wouldn't have posted if he didnt think he was telling the truth. it was just a little nugget of hearsay, why does everyone get their panties in a bunch about it?

Yes, you are so right. Why shouldn't we just passively and thankfully accept an anecdote about our favorite club's main offseason issue without question? Asking questions about the validity of a blind item is such an overreaction!

there's rumor-mongering and then there's this
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Thanks Mark. I can't post at work but I have been thinking about this and I am wondering if PJax just wants to purge the organization and start fresh. I also wondered if it had something to do with clearing out CAA. I hope Melo is back and I thought Phil wanted him.
On a side note, back in the early 2000's there was a guy on the real gm board, Hellskitchen, that occasionally had inside information on the Knicks. It was always accurate but things he scooped sometimes fell through.

thanks for sharing dude. i know you claim no validity to the story, which is why i don't get why people would get on you. thanks for just passing it along, whether it's true or not.

Yeah, thanks for sharing... I dunno guys -- something very believable about it to me. I don't think Phil is enamoured with Melo in the slightest. From every little nugget we've heard from Phil so far---Phil saying right off the bat that we're good with or without him; trying to get Melo to take A LOT less or to opt in on his player option (knowing full well there's no way he's doing either), etc. -- quiet a few indicators to me that Phil wants to turn the page..

And that's fine -- I just want to see us get a few pieces to rebuild with in return. Hopefully it'll be another short rebuild -- get a few young pieces back to rebuild with, use next year to instill the triangle and as an open audition for some young players we target and give a chance to, see if we can get anything favorable for some of our other players who aren't part of the future and wait for the cap room to open up after next season...Easier said than done, I know, but I gotta believe that if there are a few interested teams (even if it's just the Bulls, Rockets and the Mavs), those teams will compete with one another to get him when the time comes -- that's where we'll get our sign and trade. Hopefully...And if that sense of competition isn't there right now, I wanna see Phil work to create it...Phil's gotta work those 3 teams against one another -- get the best package back in return, hopefully centered around an expiring contract(s), a pick(s) and maybe a good young salary-controlled player or two. If it's the Bulls package Briggs has mentioned (Boozer, filler and a couple of picks), OK, I could live with that. Gotta first see if Houston, Dallas or anyone else have anything better...As long as Phil works it like this, I'm good. I won't be good if he walks away for nothing. That'll chap me like crazy.

Papabear Says

Do you really think that Melo will give Phil a break and do a sign and trade if this is true. Melo can be just as none caring as Phil that how we got Melo in the first place. He was ready to go to the Nets. Remember that!!!! Se you are dead wrong if you think that he will help Phil Jackson thats why he should have kept his mouth shut but it was Phils ego that got in the way. You can do that as a coach but not as the main man.

Yeah papa, Phil made Melo cry so Melo upset and wants to leave!!!

IN a nutshell this is the thread story. BTW, was it deleted?

Reasons for tears:

1. Phil moved Melo to tears with some Zen antidote and melted his heart.
2. Melo feels bad he is phucking us over.
3. They ate some tasty Thai and he got a chili caught in his throat.
4. Phil don't play that CAA shyt.
5. Melo came to realize Knicks have his bird rights and the little birdie told him he would be walking form $70mil!!!
6. The subject of JR Smith not talking to him if he bolts to Miami was emotional.
7. Melo is soft. Really soft.
8. Wheres LA LA? She's a "Honey of an Oat" and he she gone?
9. Phil told him he made 4th team all pro. He got a Tat for it. Then they told him there was no such thing!
10.Melo wants to stay. Phil told him Felton was his PG. He cried like a baby!
