I can't watch us get burned over and over by such basic pick and rolls anymore. I don't know how supposed "professionals" can't make such simple adjustments. And I wouldn't mind trading Tyson's sorry ass either. Quit blaming woodson and look in the mirror. Him and woody have been the culprit of most of our defensive failures.
If that's what you want, then we have to start by dumping the fat, lazy players who yawn during huddles and don't fight over screens. That's why I would love to see JR, Felton, Tyson, Melo gone. These are the "veterans", and their ****ty display of leadership this season left a really bad taste in my mouth.
Melo did play hard, I'll give him that, but instead of calling these bums out and demanding more from them, his idea of leadership is taking on more of the burden (leading to taking more shots) That's not how it's done. Leaders DEMAND things, but the problem here is that Melo himself is a culprit of the things you listed unfortunately.
I've seen Iman, Hardaway, Murray, and even the old fogy Pablo fight through screens and be up their mans asses, but when they see the guys making 20 mill a year asking THEM to switch on their man because they don't want to fight over screens, why would they not stop giving a ****?
They didn't make the playoffs in one of the crappiest Eastern Conference in years. From what I gathered, they had this mentality that they'll make just make it, and instead of trying to win every game, they were thinking about winning just enough...that's a loser mentality, and no surprise, because most of these guys are losers, Felton being exhibit A. Fat **** didn't even care to stay in shape in Portland and Denver because he didn't want to play behind somebody...that's the starting pg..smdh.
