Wouldn't taking a minority partner equate to taking money out? If an owner sells 1% of a franchise valued at 1B, it's the same as taking 10M out isn't it?

The only reason owners make money off their teams most of the time is because some sucker comes around willing to pay even more than the last guy.

Melo is opting out and Nets made it past a higher seeded Toronto team that played their ass off. Net Fans are holding out even a sliver of hope while Knick fans face an uncertain future. While I get reveling in another teams misery I'd rather be watching my team in the playoffs than waiting for Kerr.

Melo might be better than any Net, but Melo might not be a Knicks much longer.

As a knick fan I take an uncertain future as an opportunity and will enjoy the process of the new beginning with PJax but at this moment in time Nets are playing.

Hope some of you caught the Rangers winning another game 7 to advance to the Conf finals!!! 9 games in the last 15 days and 4 of them they were facing elimination!

Nets lose is not a "Score one for the knicks". If you think a team losing in the playoffs when your team don't even get in is a "Score one", and you want to post that, then Im calling it out.

Oviously I dont' hate the nets, or really any other team anymore. Years of knicks not being relevant perhaps did it.

honestly why hate brooklyn? knicks and brooklyn are not even rivals. let them meet in the playoffs and battle it out. that will be great for new york sports. meantime the knicks are a distant memory while the nets have a chance to either fold or put up a fight and steal a game.

Serves them right- they tanked the last few season games to get these match ups (which also finished off our chances of making the playoffs when they threw the hawks game), so it pleases me to see them fail.
