Maybe, maybe not but just as preposterous as calling him an idiot

Agreed. Ewing had banana peels thrown on the court when he played in college. People held up signs saying he couldn't read. I think most people would have a distrust of the media and people in general after dealing with that.
That said, I wouldn't be thrilled with Ewing or Kerr as choices. I think Shaw is ideal, but he's unavailable.

I don't want shaw. He seems to be trying to be the next Vogel/Byron Scott in Denver not the next Phil.

I think that has more to do with Denver's front office than Shaw.

What make you think that Steve Kerr will be a great coach.

The romantic notion that a warrior of the past make for a good coach is well intended. Sometimes it works and sometimes its don't.

Don't think Phil coming back is any great "return to make good for Red" kind of a thing. Its 15mm per year running a billion dollar franchise. Knick broadcast viewership was down 29%!!!!!!!

(Nyets down 20% but it was expected after their inaugural season in brooklyn and pathetic start)

Bill Russell bombed in Seattle and they never called him back to coach in Boston. Jabbar never got a chance. Magic was intolerant when he got the Laker Gig.

Has Ewing paid his dues? Perhaps. Nobody has given him the head coach job. PHil was bought in to run a system. I doubt Ewing is his man.

Show me where the Knicks viewership is down 29%. You said it so prove it.

Patrick Ewing is a knicks Blue blood not Kerr. I just hope that Jackson interview several coaches and give Ewing a chance to interview. What do you think? And remmember I would rather have Phil coaching but since that won't happen and everyone is saying he wants Kerr I say why not Ewing? I think he paid his dues.

Why not let the guy we hired with 13 Championships decide who should coach the team.

Pat Ewing would get eaten alive by the NY Media -- he is not head coaching material in my opinion.

Think of what the fans and media will do to Phil Jackson if he fails at getting us a ring. Or fail to get us to the finals in 3 years.

NONE Of us knows more about winning BB than Phil Jackson. I think we need to let him make his choice and then see how that works out. Phil has proven himself to be a deep thinker in almost everything he does. If he feels like Ewing would make the best coach for this team I think he'd make that choice. Phil doesn't really care about public opinion when it comes to winning BB. Phil supported Tex back when no one was really listening to this guy and his Triangle Offense. He listened and liked the fact that it was an offense that made sure everyone got touches and fostered team Ball. That's what Phil is about and so I doubt he's gonna make a decision on coach based on anything but BB.

So crushing the association mode on the NBA 2K's counts for nothing, bro?
