Wonder if we get a young player in with that last roster spot. I thought Earl played okay for us, but in the recent afternoon game I noticed he looked half asleep during the game, and kept yawning on the bench, so maybe it's an effort thing.
Regardless, Earl Clark was a perfect compliment to Melo. He deserved a closer look.
Agreed. I would've kept him and tried to get him some game time. Thought he fit the team much better than Shannon Brown myself. Oh we'll, guess Phil didn't care for him... I'd now fill the open spot with Devin Ebanks. Just suspended from the Springfield Armor for violating the league drug policy. Provided this is something minor which I suspect, I'd sign this guy for the rest of the season when he comes off suspension. Similar player to Earl Clark; I actually think Ebanks is an even better player. Dude goes about 6'9" 220, defends pretty well, rebounds and he's a real gifted scorer either spotting up from anywhere including 3-pt territory or putting it on floor. I really like this guy's game a lot -- actually reminds me of Kevin Durant. Similar game, kind of a Kevin Durant-lite. I'd take the chance here.
I agree with you completely. I've had my eye on Ebanks, ever since his last season with the Lakers. He's made a lot of improvements with his jump shot. Even though he's a good defender though, I'm skeptical of his abilities to guard 3's, as well as 4's. I think that quality is what made Earl Clark so intriguing.
