I believe Houston is hopeful they can move some pieces to clear space, but Lin/Asik only count as $8M against the cap, despite being paid the $15M each next season.

Lin, Asik, Parsons, Smith for Melo will work contract wise.

phil doesn't make that trade, so im not worry about that, besides melo would be doing the same thing he did in denver by forcing a team to trade all there valuable role players.

Same goes for the bulls, rose is coming off of 2 major knee surguries and if you have to get rid of Taj, butler and boozer to sign melo, what sense would that make

yea.. everyone loves Chicago, but they have a ton of work to do JUST to get the roster down to Noah/Melo/Rose and as mentioned the only difference between Rose and Amare right now is Amare gets *some* playing time!

As for Houston we would have to accept a trade from them (Knicks in the driver seat) and the Lakers are going to let Gasol walk for nothing to max out Melo? Whats the draw to the Lakers for him again?

I think the threat to the Knicks is Pho.

They have a good young roster and could sign him outright.

Totally different. Houston still has harden and Dwight. They form their own big 3

Goes against Morey's concept of efficiency but if they don't win it this year he might look to get closer to a ring

I like the Houston scenario. And possibly Blake from la.

I have come full circle and gone back to my belief that a superstar can get anybody to the playoffs. This year truly was a disaster. But melo got his.

I say s&t to Houston (Lin would be welcome back and parsons is pretty awesome at filling the bucket) is the best option for all.

Would like to keep melo and see if bargs and chandler can snap out of it.

But prefer the zen like approach.

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Can we get Houston to throw in Harden? That would be nice.

I would take back Lin, Parsons and a pick + whatever will make the salaries work.

I don't think that Melo belongs in Houston and he and Harden will clash.

Chicago makes the most sense with him.

phil said that they decided together who they should give 10 day contracts to.
