The only problem I had with MWP is his horrid shot selection. I have never seen a person do so many sideways floating shots in my life. He took forced shots and made easy shots harder by jumping off one leg an jumping sideways. I don't remember seeing him take those kind of shots with the Lakers.

I like MWP but I got the impression he wasn't popular with his teammates- you frequently saw him getting in a row or sulking with various teammates, and they hardly ever mentioned him when he missed games and got bought out. What he saw as offering leadership probably was experienced differently by his teammates.

Maybe the best thing he, Beno, and Bargs could do for the team was to get out of the way

Metta was dribbling too much at times, jacking up shots in limited minutes. If Metta had been a leader on the floor, his attempt to be a locker room leader would have carried more weight.

Yea these are the moves that the Knicks tried to sell us as being championship moves

Reality is they felt pressure to keep up with the Nyets and did far more damage than good
