So here we go back to a small lineup which hasn't worked all season. I would rather see them stay big and insert Cole or Tyler, but Woody is never going to do that.
If Cole starts tonight, and gets big minutes, he is going to show that we don't need T.Chandler.
He's played like 10 min all season. I'm guessing they'll start Amare at center.
I think you're right.
I still remember C.Aldrich from his Kansas years and still believe he can play major minutes at this level. Plays on both ends, big, strong, agile and doesn't need the rock to be effective.
I'm a supporter of Aldrich too but they don't seem to like him. My guess is he plays anywhere from 0 to 9 minutes today.
OK, I don't know why they're even keeping him on the roster if they aren't going to use him in a game when Bargs and Tyson are both out. As might as well use the roster spot to give an NBDL PG a shot.
Don't get it though Tyler was pretty active tonight. He is also the only guy on the knicks that actually can set a real pick.
I like Aldrich and I would love to see what he can do but obviously Woody does not.
+ 1000
Agreed, his combination of athleticism, mobility, and size allows him to play better ROTATE and RECOVER, HELP DEF, BlOCK SHOTS, and fight for position much better than any other Knick at PF/C
He still needs to develop his game and get in better shape, but he is like having a late 1st rounder with a decent potential
In no specific order
Cole Alrich
Murry
Kmart
Shannon Brown
have no 2nd year deals and Woodson does not utilize them in our rotations
It would make sense to cut them if they are not part of our future plans and even they were, their is no guarantee that they would stay beyond this season
We should look to either sign players with team options that we can either use for continued development or a salary chip to use in the off season in trades (like Gadzuric was if Melo leaves in the off season)
I would like to keep Earl Clark with a team option for continued development and possibly even Murry (but it is hard to evaluate him if he doesn't get any PT despite being the best defender among our PG's)
We should look to upgrade our PG with Bobby Brown in the meantime hopefully with a 2nd year deal (partial guaranteed for 2nd year)
