If we can get a draft pick for Tyson Chandler from 13-25 who would you take if available?

I agree - Some will say no citing how poor a year Evans has had this year and how Jackson's a midget but I'd take the chance here. I think that's a lot of value for Chandler--2 young guards with bright futures. We'd get a whole lot younger and up the overall talent level in the backcourt significantly...I think Evans can definitely get himself straightened out (to the point where $10mm+ will look like a bargain--his contract is really not that terrible and he's not that far removed from being a top performer) and there's no doubt in my mind that P-Jax is legit--he can play, even thrive in the NBA. I'm sorry but 5'11" with his athleticism and overall ability?? His play translates to over 6'. Complete non-issue here for me. Evans/Jackson just feels like something that's obtainable too -- New Orleans wants to unload Evans and go in a different direction (a trade for Chandler would save them what, 15-20mm?), and their relationship with Jackson is fractured to say the least, maybe beyond repair---they never signed him to a contract even after Jrue Holiday went down, despite him ripping up the DL. And now they just let him up & go to Turkey? They seem resigned to never give him a shot. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face... My guess is that kid will never play in a Pelicans uniform now...To each their own -- some don't see value here with these two but I do.

Targeting guys in the draft is great -- but with no picks, how realistic is it for us, really? Gonna be tough -- nobody will be doing us any favors--the price for picks up in the 1st round will be at a premium--teams will look to milk us dry for a high pick, even a mid to lower pick...Plus, we're not the only ones out there who need a PG and who've heard of a talent like Deonte Burton, believe me. I don't care where that kid's projected to go on draft boards now--there's a good chance he may shoot up. Good talents always do...I honestly don't see how we're getting a lottery pick back for Chandler too -- he has value (esp. with him finally playing better and playing impact basketball again) but a top 1st round pick is asking a lot for this guy. I wouldn't trade that for him if I were another team's GM..

Evans has always been a malcontent. Why do we try and fix everyone?

I want draft picks or established high IQ highly efficient players.

so here is what phil is thinking ....
