Off the top of my head, I can think of one that was severely overrated (probably by most on this site) and on a very well coached team - Ward & Houston. I think if that team had Harper/Spree, they win it all.

Misterearl - I'm unsure that I implied they dominate anyone, but with a top 5 wing on this team, they should most definitely be better and I think the blame falls mostly on poor coaching.

Well you'd have to provide some evidence for the claim too. I had a thread about two weeks ago where I included all the stats on the net differential production for our back-court.
But to answer your question, we have nothing but awful options in the back-court. You're just picking Cancer A, Cancer B, Cancer C, or Cancer D. All of our guys are borderline NBA/NBDL.

I'm sure you're aware of the phrase correlation does not imply causation. I think stats are very telling, but also think they don't take all variables into account.

While I realize the PG is a primary source of a lot of inefficiency for this team, I don't think you can call the 2013 6th man of the yr a D-Leaguer, as much as you might dislike him (I do). Felton does nothing to set up players like him and Hardaway.

In addition to this, the switching on D is not conducive to improving perimeter D stats or any D stats for that matter. Do you at least agree to an extent w that point?

If you WATCHED the game last night Melo was very physical with Lebron, pushed him a lot, scored with him toe to toe, made some great defensive plays, and then yes...gave up after the Knicks got ran out of the gym.

In other news yes... the coach isnt helping this, but its the environment first and foremost. Always has. Nobody has succeeded here. Nobody. Hard to hold Woody too accountable when MDA, Isiah, Larry, Lenny, Herb and Don have always failed in the same way. I mean there is a def trend there...
