And just like Chris Copeland he will press too much just to try and impress coaches and play nervous, but Woody has no choice.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Yea Ray Ray's ex-wife took the illegal gun to the cops. That´s one cold-blooded snitch. Divorce isn't a good thing man, people do crazy things.

There must be some provision in his contract that if he gets charged with a felony, his contract is void. Suspend him until its resolved and then cut him when he is charged.

This could be the best thing that happens to the Knicks all year. It will force them to get a real PG next year.

So how is that Felton for Lin decision looking now, Mr. Dolan?

Is this a setup by knicks management to get out from under his contract?

Ha! My first thoughts too!

Herring saying if Felton is convicted of the 2nd degree felony he could get up to a 15 year sentence.

I feel bad for him cause it seems he's having a rough time
on and off the court. I'm a Tarheel fan too so it's hard
but i wouldn't mind if he didn't play another possession
for the knicks

Unbelievable. Wow.. Didn't think he had it in him...I mean if he has to do any kind of time, I wonder if we can get out of his contract...Doesn't help matters as far as getting Melo to want to stay, that's for sure.

Definitely gonna need a PG now -- I continue to like Seth Curry or Kalin Lucas. Take a flyer on either guy. It's OK to call up some players from the DL -- there's no shame in it. Miami on the verge of calling up SG DeAndre Liggins.

Link to old Broussard article about the morals clause in nba contracts. It's from the Kobe case and a different CBA but mu guess would be that the owners still have that in place.

What a nightmare of a year for anyone involved with the Knicks.

This is a very sad situation that goes beyond the team and all, but keeps the theme of turmoil going. How sad...

This feels like the Isiah Thomas Era Part 2. I envy teams like The spurs OKC and even Indy. the Spurs have consistently been a contender since the late 90's

In this situation I would think that the Manhattan DA would look for jail time. What I don't understand, why isn't it a misdemeanor if the wife is the one who took it out of the house? Loaded gun in the home is a misdemeanor. Was it defaced? Stolen?

No team ever invokes that clause because they're worried how it will effect future FA signings.

I have had friends that dropped a bag and a gun fell out and got that mandatory 3.5 years. So it's just the fact that you have it. Now if you are waiving it around then they are going to push for the max 7.

Remember plaxico got the 3.5 with time off for Good behavior. His was more serious.

If his wife really did turn it in on him then he's only going to get that misdemeanor. His lawyer could knock that down to the fine and he's good.

The dumb **** is if your wife is divorcing you, you need to get your stuff out while you can. Felton might really be going through some crazy **** at home with his wife. At the same time if he waived the gun at his girlfriend than he is in Trouble if they are witnesses. Depends on which story is true.
