Same script.

Absolutely not the same script.

The team is not terrible cuz they won 54 games last year with the majority of all the rotation his that played big minutes coming back. We got better talent to mesh in. This season is one of a kind. Don't try and group it with another.

Same script:

Blame the coach thinking it will improve. It does for a short time then we back at it. Unbalanced rosters, bad contracts, lacking yoots, injuries, management changes.........Same formulaic script with new characters in 4 year cycles.

I disagree. Last year the owner was not a presence or minimally was behind the scenes. This year he fired the gm that got the team to 54 wins, hired the coach and was third in voting for executive of the year and replaced him with the guy that hired Isiah, Anuca and is credited with the Mcdyess trade. The new gm or the owner became involved in roster decisions saying who would start (including reports that JR was starting despite all of the nonsense), who makes the team (Chris), how many minutes guys could play and what games they needed to rest etc. There seemed to be a decree from above to go with the 'big lineup' at all costs. There were a ton of injuries. Tyson is good for a 20 game ailment annually. Usually its on April 1 (does he fish for trout?). But a broken leg and then a respiratory ailment and just a general lack of intensity have hurt the knicks. Also, he has become divisive force in the locker room sabotaging more then providing vet leadership. He is best friends with the gm and because of that probably will never be moved and the Knicks need more from him on the court and in the locker room. I don't think anyone could predict that Shump would struggle and fall as far as he has. Also, Jr? WTF is up with that guy. Remember the game where he became a facilitator and wouldn't shoot, sabotaging his team and the coach. The shoelaces? This season is nothing like last season. Gms protect their coach. If Shump shoves Woodson Grunwald trades Shump. No questions asked. I disagree about things being the same or this being on the coach. The coach hasn't been able to make work what he has been given but I am not sure who could. Many would give up and resign.

You know, I'm not sure I even really "support" them anymore:

- I don't buy gear

- I don't go to games or own cable

- I've watched 3 games tops this season, listened to one or two more

- I have no more than 5 close friends who'd even bring them up in conversation

- I have nothing to add to threads here that aren't wildly off-topic

The NBA Game Time app gives me a notification when games start and finish… and I check in here. About all I do at this point.

There is nothing about this team except the uniform that I have any sort of attachment to. And they even found a way to screw the uniform up this year.

I won't say "I'm done"… but actions speak louder than words.

Doc, I talked to you about Playon awhile back and watching games on there. Right after we started talking about it I had some difficulties with the sport sites. It was only a one week thing. Let me know if you are interested in it.

Thanks but no thanks Crush… I'm skeptical of those sites but appreciate the offer. Don't look like I'm missing much.

I became a fan in the 90s because of weekend NBA games on over-the-air TV and the Knicks getting into the playoffs. If the Knicks get into the playoffs, I'll definitely watch.

I contribute 50% of my pay to Dolan's personal 401K.
I buy anything that has the letters "CAA" on it.
I buy blocks of corporate seating and give them away as Christmas presents to all my atheist friends.
I have 14,578 Melo jerseys.
I listen to every game, right until the final buzzer on 98.7FM. I patronize all the MSG radio broadcast sponsors. Some of them more than once a day!

Why do I do all this, you ask?
Because it's better than being a Mets/Nets/Jets fan.

We will overcome.
Heck, it's not like we're the SacKings or the Denuggets. Who've never won anything of consequence.
Or the Cubs.

Things could be worse.

Relax fellas, it's only pro basketball. It's not like we're doing an internship at the Johns Hopkins Center for the Cure for Cancer.

Haha… thanks for throwing my other team the Amazins under the bus. If you have anything snarky to say about the Trinidad & Tobago national football team I will cut you.

I'd put the Christ back in Christmas for that! Hook a brother up!

I fell in love with the late 80s early 90s teams. Geralk Wilkens, XMan, Marc Jackson, Ewing, Oak... that was my first team. With Ewing they went to round 2 every year for a decade straight.

I follow 3 sports teams only. Yankees, Giants and Knicks. At this point I have so much going on in life I dont bother when they suck. Last spring the Knicks were good and Yankees sucked so I didnt watch the Yankees. Pretty simple forumla. Yanks are coming off a bunch of titles. Giants have had two of the best and impressive title runs in any sport ever, so those were epic moments. I guess it makes easier to sit back and wait for the idiot Knicks.

Listening to stupid Carton and Boomer this morning, and Boomer decided he'd rather take the Met's pile of poop over the current Knicks pile of poop right now. [I know, are they possibly less stupid than me because I actually listen to them?] Proof positive that football helmets don't equate to protection of brain matter and that liking hockey is an especially easy signpost to insipient insanity.

Can you say Meltdowns? Madoff? MattHarvey?
I'd much rather be saying Melo.

And soccer is for little kids with no observable motor skills and really hot MILFs.

For what? You'd only scalp them at an immoral mark-up anyway!

the script thats the same is dysfunction. What has been done to right this ship? What changes have been made to find some consistency in anything? And we started by whacking the guy who put the 54 win team together. Dysfunction is same script. Hey, even Marshall and Kim had their good days...

I'ts kind of a mix & match blame between, GM/coach/Players effort.
last year we had an identity of 3pt/jump shooting team + veterans off court leadership, this year we came up shooting blanks, the 3pt vanished, the ball wasn't moving, our coaching staff decided to go big with AB, which gave us points, but no D or boards, unbalanced roster, or unused(MWP, Beno, it's like the organization made all the possible mistakes.

my problem is mainly with Woody, if they canned your best man in Gruny, then make your stand, quit if needed, Woody seem to me , more and more, as an money opportunist, and not a Knick loyal(As he said on himself), he still thinks that we can get to the playoffs, i really don't think that we will, something is rotten in this team from the inside.

on a personal note,
hearing the excuses of our players after losses is embarrassing, but above all is 'crybaby' Ray Felton, saying every abysmal lose 'players just made shoots today' or 'players just missed today',
i don't know if this is arrogance or stupidity, both are unforgivable to me as a fan.
