BigDaddyG wrote:Not clear, but it seems like Granger's expiring was perfect because it allowed Philly to meet the NBA minimum salary floor. Anyone know anything about that?

It's not really important- I think I remember reading that if a team doesn't meet the minimum salary floor, they just end up paying the difference and it gets divided up between the players.

They must have sent out some picks, surely!

Yeah, the salary floor doesn't really mean anything to teams; they don't really get punished if they don't meet it.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

I will tell you one thing the Sixers made sure they are tanking now. They traded anyone who had any semblance of talent from that team. They want to make sure they get a high pick.

Still have MCW, he would be the 2nd best player on our team...

He's done- he has been awful this season, and for a few years.

They must have traded Cope somewhere, I presume?

Yeah, I doubt Granger will make a difference in nay teams championship run. I'm just trying to figure out why Philly felt the need to do Indy a favor.

Looks like all the Pacers gave up was a future second rounder. Unbelievable.

Dude Toronto is like a kid who goes to college for one yr (ONE AND DONE).

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

hard to admit, but Pacers is the future in the NBA, along with OKC, the moves that Indy is doing are awesome & tailored for conference finals and NBA finals for the next 4-5 years

The same reason why Jerry West traded Kobe to LA Lakers. Kevin Mchale trade Garnett to Boston.

Miami traded with LA for Shaq

Nobody's ownership likes James Dolan and will never help his team get better!!!!

He's OK and a real nice weapon to have coming off the bench. Takes pressure off ball handlers, can make plays off the dribble...But he will become overpaid after the season.

Good Defender. Paul don't have to guard LBJ for 48 mins.

It's seriously mind boggling. JUST ONCE in my lifetime id like
To see the Knicks do a deal like this where they get a great asset for basically nothing.

Had we not traded for AB, we would have been able to put a package for some of the players Philly traded out and Thad Young, adding a 2018 1st rounder

Turner
Thad Young
Spencer Hawes

Had we not traded for Felton and kept Lin instead, it would be a top 4 team in the East for the next 5 years
Not trading for Camby and the 2 2nd rounders
Letting Novak walk or at least one less year/team option
In addition to not wasting the 3m MLE 2 summers in a row for Kidd and then Pablo/MWP

for the draft picks we gave Toronto for an amnesty candidate in AB, we should have at least asked back for Lowry and I am sure they would have given him to us at the time gladly

Nice move for the Pacers. I think the Sixers really wanted a first rounder for Turner. Love the Hawes move for the Cavs. The Cavs should make the playoffs. Teams really didn't over pay for talent that was leaving in the offseason this deadline. I think the Knicks probably did the right thing in the Lowry deal.
