Not that this doesnt hurt, but hopefully for his sake its not the demoralizing life changing stuff you deal with when a family gets split up.

This whole org is such a mess!

I honestly think this is maybe what woke Raymond up last night.

He needs to be aggressive and angry like Shump was for a few games - he just needs to get angry and stop feeling sorry for himself.

Play like last night for the remainder of the season, we have an outside shot at making the 8th seed.

Not at all. Just put it here rather than Make a thread for LaLa to see. I think it's pretty funny and harmless

I think anyone that has gone through any measure of real suffering should be able to put aside their all-consuming knick obsession to recognize that this is a mitigating factor with regard to his performance and, more importantly, a very sad experience for anyone. Quantifying it's effect on the Knicks is of negligible importance given the context. The Knicks order of operations are 1) trade melo, or 2) sign melo and trade him next year.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

Your link comes up as a an email, so it is rather harmless. But your predictability still stands.

Vmart wrote:Divorce or not the fact remains the same Felton just isn't that good. Was he getting divorced in Denver and Portland? Besides divorce can be looked at as a bad thing or something good. How do we know Ray isn't doing flips about being divorced or sulking in a corner somewhere.

I have known people that said getting a divorce was the greatest thing in the world and some who blame themselves for it and sulk.

Beautiful 26-year-old law student Ariane, who married 29-year-old Felton in 2012, filed for divorce Tuesday in Manhattan.

He reportedly said on their wedding video, “Beautiful as ever, from the first day I met her. I’m going to take care of her. You have my word. I promise you. No matter what it is, I’m always there for you. I love you.”

Felton could have come to the conclusion she just used him, that could tear up a sensitive guy who was in love.

not married that long...

I was just gonna say -- I remember watching part of the ceremony online somewhere for a few mins.. Sad. Bad year for this poor guy all around I guess.

almost as long as his marriage lasted.

sucks - i'm in the same situation as felton is. it ain't easy on me and i'm not playing basketball in front of thousands of people every day, nor on tv. nor are there 2980357 people judging my performance at work doing so. i can imagine it makes it THAT much harder. length of time doesn't matter (in both our cases 2012) it still sucks.

lol wow I just got that. Went right over my head. In all seriousness I feel for anyone in Rays position on a personal level. Still not happy we let Lin walk thinking everything would be just peachy with Felton running the show at PG(the most valuable position on the floor as the pg is an extension of the coach and the engine that steers the ship)

Wow. Didnt he just get married last year? By all accounts I have heard nothing but good things about Felton as a person. Tough break. Too bad he plays in a place where guys are so scrutinized.

fishmike wrote:awww mann.... I honestly feel like an ass. I have KILLED this guy all year and this explains a lot. I was married 8+ years w/ 2 kids when I went through a divorce. I was playing hardball and it was my worst summer. I was in incredible shape. I spent all my time in the gym working out looking for some mental escape from all the emotional BS that was killing me from the divorce. I was sooo amped for that season and it was my worst. Physically I was ready, but mentally I was shot. I *thought* I was locked in, but in hindsight it was impossible be locked in. Somethings are just too big. I struck out more than ever. I used to bat 3rd or 4th and I dropped myself to 7th because I just wasnt performing.

Sucks.... Ray's been a lousy PG but he's a good guy. Hope he finds some peace soon with this. Took me a year AFTER it was all settled to feel like things were normal again.

Yea Fish people who aren't married might not understand the covenant once it's dissolved will have a emotional and psychological effect on your attitude and personality and in this case performance.

I wonder if his teammates knew of this and because of it cut him some slack ?

it would make sense... also puts the Knicks in a lousy spot. You have a guy who is underperforming, but trading him in the middle of a divorce is a lousy move.

Its the curse of Jeremy Lin.

At least he's moving to a contender and will be a backup PG (better role for him). He has my sympathy - divorce is nasty and takes a toll. But I still want production from the 1, and he ain't gonna give it.

The trade sounds like a no-brainer at this point. We need to shake up the backcourt. THjr is the real deal.

No excuses for Felton. People go through this all the time. I don't hear any kids are involved if there isn't then there is nothing to talk about imho. I work so I had to go to work with heavy stress dealing with my situation. I want working or and playing basketball. Sorry man. I have no sympathy. If this is effecting his play then he is not who he keeps saying he is.

Damn, that is shame. This is a good possibility why is playing terribly. I don't know everything. He should've took a longer to get to know this woman before marrying her. She was a student while he was dating her and under 27 yrs old. Most women I know at that age is longing not for love but for help with bills and will say and do what it takes to get to where or what they want. Advice young guys. Make sure she is established and over 27 yrs. These ladies are typically looking for love and will take care of you. Speaking from experience.

If by established, you feeding off the corpse of the last sucka they divorced, then yeah, totally agree lol (Just kidding) The truth of the matter is that you can never truly know a woman until they already have the noose of marriage around your neck. I feel for Ray and and I've been there. I know a situation like this can really mess with your head. But, and this isn't personal, this team is trying to make the playoff and Ray needs to buck up. Tim Duncan was going through the same thing last year and he still performed. I know Ray isn't Tim Duncan, but he needs to bear down and focus for this last push. He has the off-season to decompress.

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick
