knicks need to get kyrie, it's just a matter of time before he wants out of cleveland like every player who plays there. That franchise will never be more then just a playoff team.

Just posted a Berger article about LBJ returning to the Cavs to play with Kyrie. The two seemed to have great chemistry on the court together last night. LBJ was very complimentary of Kyrie.

Lebron is an alpha. Kyrie would not be with Lebron.

Lebron would have no problems differing to Irving at times as he is entering his 30s. It will prolong his career. They will be a joy to watch. How do you stop 2 guys who can handle the ball like those two. Impossible

I still wish the Knicks could pick up Waiters. Apparently Cleveland is now trying to make it work with Dion and Kyrie. They are doing extra drills just with each other while being supervised by a coach. I think Waiters will be a really good player for a long time. Knicks could keep or move him if he becomes available.

Melo when surrounded by TOP STAR's is a great player
He needs players that are versatile, great defenders, ability to PENETRATE and FINISH

When he has the above, especially multiple players that can penetrate *thereby forcing double and triple teams, for Melo to shoot*
However, when Melo plays in NYK, he wants to ball to be in his hands and want's to initiate to offense, while on the ALL STAR team, he is willing to play off the ball, just like on TEAM USA, because he respects these players


Now, how can we build with a similar theory for Melo to succeed with the cap space of 60m and our lack of asset's/draft picks?
It surely isn't happening with vet min players, we not only want versatile talent but good/great defenders as well
Notice Melo plays his best when he plays OFF THE BALL and not one of the top options...


And that was why I felt keeping Lin could have been a piece to the puzzle with his ability to penetrate/finish/facilitate
In addition to JR Smith's ability to do the same last season, however, we need multiple players that can do this

Cleveland just wants to sell tickets, if they were trying to win with Lebron when they had him, they wouldn't have had over the hill players like Jamison and Tyrone Hill to play along side him to compete for a Championship.

Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

When I say need plays, that means coach drawing up offensive plays instead of iso and p n r with Chandler. If we had better coaching, this team can compete with the best. Like last year, bad coaching and we lost to Pacers. I really believe we beat heat in ECF last yr. But coaching was horrible

That's what happens when an organization turns into a vehicle to try and keep one player happy year after year. It should look familiar to us at this point.

Maybe not compete with the best but we should at the very least get the 8th seed instead of Detroit and Charlotte
