Knick fans want to win period. I dont really care about Melo's money situation because like he said he is set for the rest of his life and probably his kids lives. All i care about in this situation is the Knicks finally winning fir more than 1 seaon every 15 years

Well my friend, Melo and Dolan don't care about you and what you think when they put ink to that new contract..Most of you continue to be unrealistic in your expectations anyway, so what is the point really..

Thats a different situation. We dont make a fraction of what he makes. Its kind of hard to sympathize with a guy who makes 20-30 milion while the rest fo us bust our ass for a fraction of that

knicks would be asking melo to wait one for year for 2015 - which is another year off his prime and making him 32 for the 15/16 season.

or they dump that plan, hope to trade $20 mil amare for longer deals - which is getting tougher in the new cba.

i can see the knicks doing this:

bargs and something else for josh smith
amare for eric gordon

I am being real and Im not asking you to care what i make i was just stating an example. My ppoint is that if melo wants to win here than he might have to sacrifice a little bit. I have no issue with him wanting to make money im just thinking about our cap situation wbhich always seems to suck

Good to know....

http://nypost.com/2014/02/14/carmelo-ill-re-sign-on-cheap-if-i-like-knicks-plan/

Without a doubt,’’ Anthony said when asked whether he would take less than the max contract to remain a Knick. “Any opportunity I have to build that up in New York, I’d do it. I told people all the time, always say, if it takes me taking a pay cut, I’ll be the first one on Mr. [James] Dolan’s steps saying: ‘Take my money and let’s build something strong over here.’’’

I have always thought this was a given..Melo won't take a drastic cut without a plan, the Knicks have to have a plan...

How does goin to free agency get us more players? Last time I checked even I you take Melo's contract next year we are still over the cap. So basically he is the only one we can sign.

Ok cool but there is a difference between wanting to soemthing to happen and knowing the realistic situation. We all know what Dolan will do because we have watched him do it for 14 years and fail miserably. We are all realistic

Ok cool but there is a difference between wanting to soemthing to happen and knowing the realistic situation. We all know what Dolan will do because we have watched him do it for 14 years and fail miserably. We are all realistic

Personally I don't understand it..I won't spend too much time on scenarios that will never happen..But that's just me..
Pretty much 99% of all fanbases do it. Fans are smart but when things are bad and unfortunetly for knick Fans it has been bad since the 90's Era Knicks it makes you make "dream Scenarios" lol

I dont think anybody si being unrealistic i think our fans are making extremely good points. Nobody is asking melo to pay for free.

Really??..U are asking Melo to do what none of you would do in real life..

Thats a different situation. We dont make a fraction of what he makes. Its kind of hard to sympathize with a guy who makes 20-30 milion while the rest fo us bust our ass for a fraction of that

Who is asking u to sympathize??..Just be real, No one is leaving 30/50 mil on the table, I don't care what u make ..
I am being real and Im not asking you to care what i make i was just stating an example. My ppoint is that if melo wants to win here than he might have to sacrifice a little bit. I have no issue with him wanting to make money im just thinking about our cap situation wbhich always seems to suck

No you are not being real, you are a fan with no skin in the game and your answer reflect that with zero consideration of what's happening in the real world..
Again its not really a big deal. Fans were just throwing out soem ideas on how to improve teh team and cap situation. Im pretty sure we all live in the real world and knows how everything goes down

If u live in the real world, why do u constantly post about the Knicks rebuilding when U know Dolan will never do it??
Why does it upset you that much? First of all i know FULL WELL that Dolan wont rebuild. In fact i say every time that despite wnating him to rebuild he wont. I know how dolan operates but i was just stating what i think we SHOULD not what Dolan WILL do

It doesn't upset me at all..Just an observation ..

Well then all we should talk about is broken down players who will get 5 year max contracts

Melo said it pretty clear he wants to win NOW. Waiting a year to MAYBE put some talent together? I don't see it. Unless management pulls off some miracle to please Melo I think he's a goner.
Melo just on ESPN
