We have a lot of big expiring contracts next season, our 1st rd pick in the offseason and then a crap load of cap space the following year. We need the right person at the helm so history doesn't repeat itself. Someone strong enough to say to Carlmelo."we love you and want you to stay, but if you really think you can get that on the FA market we wish you the best of luck.' Someone to tell Felton 'you are not a starter, if you want to be a starter, we can help facilitate a trade. Someone to develop the young kids....someone to tell the owner to take a step aback and let the professionals handle the basketball decisions and keep those useless friends of yours away from the team.

WE WANT PHIL!!

I'd love to have Patrick Ewing as coach if the Boobkittens would allow him to leave. I've never seen the Knicks in the same light since the day they traded Ewing to the Sonics. Its a good opportunity to put him back in MSG. AND, the way these Knicks are playing, he'd be on the sidelines sweating just as much as when he was playing. I miss seeing the Knicks sweat that much from effort. You could see he was leaving every ounce of his effort on the court. (Gimme Oaks as my big man coach too).

Not sure if he would be any good at coaching or not, but I would certainly smile to see Ewing on the sidelines. These Knicks need to give me something to smile about.

You know I gonna spin wit it

You think Phil Jackson is going to put up with an MSG Public Relations flunky following him around telling him what to say and what not to say? Yeah right.

Forget about Phil as long as Dolan is around and doing his banana republic dictator routine.

Would love to be a fly on the wall to see that. Made me think of the Private Parts movie where Pig Vomit is trying to teach Howard Stern to say WNnnnBC

We need to make Dolan our coach- so far he's proven to be a great GM, and has the keen basketball mind and people skills to flourish as coach.

Rookie - Phil does not need the money or the tarnish on his legacy.

Let it go and get real.

President of Basketball Operations needs to be an expert at talent acquisition.

Exactly.

Phil is happy where he is. In retirement. In 18 months he will be 70. Seventy years old.

Do you really think anyone 70 years old looks forward to packing and unpacking every other night for 8 months out of the year?

We need unbound energy and creative intelligence.

Phil didn't like the roster before, so why would he be interested now? The guy won't come here with Dolan sticking his nose in on every aspect of the team. Dolan is the real problem with this franchise and we can't get past him. We'll just have to pray for a miracle. We need a GM and coach that will come in and have the guts to demand that Dolan step back and let the professionals handle things. For that to happen Dolan would have to be humbled. So far the Garden is still packed every night, so Dolan still thinks he's in a good position. Gotta have fans stop going to the games.

Only way I see him coming back is if Phil is made both GM and coach and non interference from Dolan in writing. He doesn't need the money.

Cosign...but how many people can really say they don't need another 16-24M.

Retirement is boring. Basketball is life. The people I see who stay busy and passionate about what they do tend to live longer.

Give it up; Jackson's not coming here, and you know it.

Not that I wouldn't welcome him, given all his successful rebuilding projects.

Rookie - what makes you think that a man who travels the world and is intellectually curious 24 hours a day is bored?

Phil ain't bored.

He was to have skin if the SAC team moved to Seattle with new owners.

Phil is not coming here unless he thinks he can win.

lol you are really talking like a rookie. he's not coming here, give it up. he will never work with dolan and dolan is not giving up control. end of story.

Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

Yes, but we the long suffering fans deserve it. As Nolad said, "this team needs an enema". Bring on Dr. Phil!
