all this hate on Bargs reminds me of the hate KT faced during his first stint with us - that getting rid of him would be addition by subtraction.

I think Bargs biggest problem isn't skill or ability- its the ability of the coach to actually fit him in. Chandler and Bargs should never have been on the floor together - Bargs is best suited to being a 5.

I think his overall defense has been ok- and as far as his help defense - he isn't alone in performing poorly in that dept this year with us.

The dude is not completely horrible. He was the reason we beat miami the first time and he was pretty effective before he got hurt. Stop pretending like he hasn't played a game for us. We've had plenty of time to realize the dudes worth. He's not a horrible player. He is a legit nba starter and we could use him.

not horrible at all BUT he is a disappointment considering he was a number 1 pick. Also we gave up more than we had to which always aggravates me
knicks didnt give up what you normally give up for a first overall pick. Also, bargs played great in the first Indy game against Hibbert and had a great game against Howard the first time the Knicks played the rockets. Both of those games should have been wins.
Again i never said he was terrible he is just way too inconsistent. he can have some really good games and then he could disappear. Look i dont have anything against him but i ahve to be as fair as i can. Even players who i really like i will get critical if they arent playing well

Kenyon martin was a #1 pick. Melo was a #3 we didn't Draft either so that stuff is irrelevant. All we can go by is what they bring to us.

We gave up a lot for Bargs if you add to the fact Toronto wanted to amnesty him. But if you factor in that the dude averaged 18 and 21pts per two seasons in a row then he was traded fairly considering we gave up Novak and Camby which is a small miracle.

so whatever.... the guy is a knick. In my opinion he can hold his own at center. And if you put Melo and kmart around him we can win.

We need a point guard no matter how anyone wants to flip this.

Bargs is what he is a very inconsistent player. The good news is that his contract si up after next year because his inury issues and incosistent play arent a good amtch for a long term contract. Gitta give toronto props they were able to get value out fo someone who no other team was willing to

I actually like Bargs. He kinda meshes with Melo a little bit with Melo playing the 4 and Bargs at the 5. They just need a long SF that can defend and rebound. A PG not named Fatton and a SG not named JR Smith.

I think the small forward was supposed to be Metta or Leslie. But I agree about Melo/Bargs. I like Melo/Bargs better than Melo Tyson.

Imagine Luol Deng with Bargs and Melo. They would be a pretty good front line. Melo and Deng would hide Bargs inadequacy on the boards. Bargs would also pull away the other teams bigs into the perimeter letting Melo do his wonders in the paint.

We can win with Bargs at center and we can win with tyson...just not with both on the court at the same time.

It's about the build. The knicks need to decide how they want to build. Either way works. If Bargs is your center you need to have a kmart at the 4. The kicks have tyler too so that's a ****ing bonus. If it's tyson then the knicks have to run melo at the 4 and find a better alternative at small fwd like a wilson chandler type.

Either way we would need a point guard and then we can get back to winning.

What is with all this Bargs love?! Madness! He is awful. JR gets blasted for a low bball iq and inconsistency, but Bargs is just as bad in those respects.

A guy hitting 29% of his 3s won't pull the defense away
