I'd actually like to start seeing him as more of a focal point in the offense when he's out there. Want to see him get even more involved...Like to see him post up as bit more. One thing I'm really liking a lot -- his P&R instincts are really solid. He sets quality picks out high and dives right to the basket looking for the ball. He's a big strong kid that can finish on that play too. Decent enough touch to play some pick and pop too. Combine that with some more post ups, he's got a lot going for him offensively. He's looked good so far but I think he's capable of doing much more and being much more of a force than what we're seeing. It's up to Woodson to establish him as such...He may never be a huge shot-blocker but he reacts quickly coming weakside providing help D. and rebounding. He does tend to commit too many fouls like Clyde was saying last night but he can clean that up. Bottom line is outside of Amar'e (who really can't be counted on anymore) we really don't have a legit post up big man. This kid could be that for us. Let's start using him like that more. I know Woodson hasn't had a legit post up presence on his team in awhile -- he probably forgot what that's like...Can this stubborn-ass/ultra slow to adjust coach see the potential here for much more and take it to the next level with this kid? Just MHO -- worst thing in the world would be to bury him once Amar'e and Martin are both healthy enough to play again -- you know that's EXACTLY what this guy's gonna do though...

If he brings the "high energy" as said by Woodson just remember those are not sustainable big minutes. He is learning to play at a higher level and given his injury and lack of experience he does not know what feels like to be a high energy player in the NBA so he must keep getting in NBA shape and learning his craft.

In the Mecca we don't size up his HOF jacket because we understand things.

Premature ejaculation over the next "hibbert" after a few summerleague games is not permitted in the Mecca. In the mecca, tighty whitey's are stain free.

Tyler has potential to be a lot better then chandler Love that 7'5 wingspan..

Tyler isn't a center. He looks like he could be very solid as a power forward.

I think he can play either position.. He's got the size to play center the speed to guard power forwards.. He's played both positions for us more power forward then center. I also disagree on hibbert.. Tyler is almost 260 and with the 7'5 wingspan along with his incredible ups I think he could hold his own vs hibbert.. Also think Tyler could blow right by him when hibbert would have to go out and guard him because of Tyler's awesome range.

Yeah, Tyler is only 3/4s of an inch shorter than Andre Drummond and his measurements are almost identical to what Dwight Howard recorded, according to the draft combine. Tyler is definitely big enough to play center. Fortunately, there aren't that many Roy Hibberts playing in the league. I still think the best way to play against Roy is the line him up against against a face up big like Bargs.

Do you still see Tyson as a 7/7 player?

No I'm gonna eat crow on that one... He's looking like the Tyson that won dpoy lately.. Still think tyson needs his mins down to about 25. I think he was over used last year hence the playoff downfall last year

I don't understand how anyone can say Tyler can only be a 4 when we have Melo, formerly a 3, now playing as a 4.

He certainly looks strong enough to handle any bigger players (like Hibbert) that he might have to go up against.

And I agree that we could probably get by if we find a taker for Chandler - but I don't think we're sellers right now.

I agree... I checked draft express... he measured 6'10.5, has a 7'5 wingpsan and the same 34inch vertical leap that Kevin Durant has. Idealy he's a 4, but he could certainly thrive in an uptempo smaller linup playing the 5. Regardless he's good and he's going to be very expensive if he's breaking out because his physical tools are off the charts.

Im going to wait until he's signed before I get excited about this guy
