I'm sure they'd live to trade him. Good luck finding a taker

Why did we resign this clown again?

Food for thought: Now that the Knicks have signed Chris Smith again at the d-league level, if they trade JR will Chris Smith want to stay with the Bayhawks or will it be "Betrayal part 2"?

addition by subtraction. his "talent' is absurdly over-rated. loses 10 games a year, wins 1.

I think this is JR's rendition of a temper tantrum. He was very upset that the Knicks cut his brother.I wouldn't mind trading JR (and Chris Smith also). The only realistic way to do this is to take back a player who the other team is also trying to get rid of. This may not strengthen us, but it would get rid of one headache.

Enyspree mentioned Charlie Villanueva is not being played by the Pistons. And having a poor season also. We could trade JR (and Chris Smith) for Charlie V. Salaries almost match and Charlie V is an expiring contract $8.58 Mil. He also gives us another body at PF where almost everyone we have is injured.

The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense. Tom Clancy - author

This J.R. stuff feels so planned out, from the "trade rumors" to the apology. I doubt J.R. gets moved. Highly doubt it. And how could it?

I hope Jared is wrong but the Knicks resigned Chris to Erie today. So not sure things have changed as much as it is being portrayed.

Did he refer to JR as "it"?

But given Smith's struggles this season -- not to mention his lack of focus and seriousness -- the Knicks' attempts to trade him are proving even more difficult than the task of climbing out of their 12-22 hole.

"I hear Shanghai has a spot," one rival GM said Wednesday when polled about potential takers for Smith.

Another executive, when asked about teams that might be interested, texted, "Erie?"

Best punishment for JR right now is to bury him on the bench and make him watch a rook (THJ) eat up all of his minutes and get the cheers. Doubt that will happen. I also wonder if they end up bringing back Chris Smith as a way to placate JR? Been reading conflicting reports about whether or not that's happening. Would be very depressing but not out of character for this franchise.

Fields sucks. The only thing that went wrong was the Knicks didn't wanna move him when he had value.

Can't a franchise void a player's contract for character reasons? Wasn't this talked about when Kobe was first accused of rape?

Give him to the Cavs for CJ Miles and Earl Clark. They are dumb enough to do it.

Dont really know what assumptions are required. You state "can't a franchise void a players contract for character reasons?". The precedent for this that you bring is when s player was accused of raping a girl and contract voiding was discussed. You are quite clearly correlating JR's silly unprofessional goofball character issues to the case of Kobe being accused of rape. What assumptions?

A criminal is a criminal. Even so, I'm not going to presume that someone that did jail time for dealing weed is the same class of criminal as a serial murder. I'd like to think that this would be common sense.

Dude, do you really want to go down this path? I'm still on vacation and I can be extremely petty. I'll do this all day until your fingers bleed from typing too much. Stop trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
