So can Tyler be had by any team? That would be icing on the cake for this failure.

I'd rather play Tyler, Hardaway and Murry big minutes than the vets we're currently leaning on- the young guys would make mistakes but at least they'd bring energy and passion. Our vets make mistakes but play lazy.

I can't remember the last time I've felt so disconnected from a Knicks team

I have never been this disconnected. When Marb's and those guys were here I still enjoyed watching. I knew there would be trades, and coaching changes. The talent didn't mesh yet the guys played hard. A enjoyed watching some of the individual guys. It was entertaining. You could all cheer for them.

Now there is nothing fun going on out there. We have Tim Hardaway jr and the hours that Toure Meu had a big game. Jeremy Tyler isn't on the team and I feel more attached to him than any body in the roster outside of Thjr and Murry

There was some exciting games during those years too. I'll never forget that triple OT game against the Pistons.

Theres just something about this team I don't like. I really can't put my finger on it.

Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

There's no Central Focal Point for this team. Melo is the best talent but he's not a guy you put your faith in as a leader of this team. We need a ball handler to actually LEAD the team. Felton is coming back but he's not the kind of player that inspires a fan base. We've got a few dumb players too. Having guys like JR handle the ball so much leads to really dumb BB. It's frustrating to watch for a fan base that KNOWS good BB.

A big like Tyler at least plays like a real PF. We have Bargs who is more of a SF with great size. It's frustrating seeing a guy as big as Bargs not play like a PF. Get a real PG, PF and limit JR's minutes and things could start to look a lot better. We need to play THJ more minutes and JR less. Sign Tyler and let him develop along with the other young guys.

No way we need to develop Chris Smith for the next 3 years. Maybe dumping Ike Diogu cost us 3-4 games===no?

Yeah in three years he is going to be a baller when he is 29.

Probably not. Ike can't defend PGs or guard the rim. But CJ Leslie is starting to find his game. I'd rather see him develop than Smith. CJ can develop into a Trevor Ariza/Omri Caspi type energy guy if he gets his shot right. If we're going to suck, at least bring in energetic guys who can make a highlight play every once in a while.

How funny would it be if Chris all of a sudden started playing like a real PG and went on a Linsanity type of run?
Man there would be so many open mouths on this forum. He's looked so bad that it's hard for any of us to see him being of any use at all. That would be some funny crap.

In so tainted right now it would take me a minute to accept it if it did happen.

I'm so frustrated....

Every team has these young guys the same age as Toure and Jeremy, yet we are coddling them. They need to be called up.... and in toure case he needs Rotation minutes. Even Leslie has been balling in the dleague. The kicks actually could use him too with Metta out.

LOL! I started playing less than 3 years ago and usually lost. Always play against better players!

Now, Im a .500! My team went to State finals and I won a match there too!

Nalod in a rebuilding project to become a tennis player at 50! Im much better and having a lot more fun than when I started.

Point? Patience!!!!! Last nite I played against much younger superior players WAY above my level. I held pretty good and actually held my serve twice! It was a mark of improvement and progress. I will never be as god as a 23 year old college player!

Got home early made some roasted Califlower, black rice and grilled red snapper. Kids home from college and we had a great dinner!
Knicks were playing Orlando all the while. Nets getting blown out by Pacers.

No league pass, no worry! I used to DVR Knick games. Now I'll just watch the recaps on NBATV. I follow the team, just not entertaining right now. I don't owe them a thing.

Win or lose I "Win" when I am on the court and getting a workout!!

Knicks are not worth my time to watch but when they on National TV I'll watch some.. Given there stench, that game count will diminish. Nets not even interesting. NY hoops a disappointment! Nalod's tennis game is not!

Tyler is the featured bayhawk on their team page because of his 21 point 18 rebound game on Saturday.

It might be time to bring in Tyler - dump Aldrich immediately. He had a massive opportunity to OWN the center minutes and couldn't earn them.

Tyler has huge upside because of his athleticism and coordination... and he can finish above the rim. He's not really the answer to all of our ails, but he has a chance to bring something that we don't have today: hope.

It happens every time we have young players. We get over mistakes because we believe they'll get better. Bargnani... *sigh* He's already 28. He can improve, he might even have a 20ppg/6rpg season in him, but that'd be largely related to him getting more usage. He has the potential to get a little better, but we're not expecting him to become a vicious rebounder all of a sudden. (but who knows, look at the rate Carmelo's rebounding this season!)

The Knicks have a slightly younger cast than last year, but dang, they injuries (and surgery recoveries) have really put a damper on this team. If we can make it into the playoffs... AND we happen to be getting healthy at the right time, we could surprise a lot of teams in the playoffs. But few folks are feeling optimistic at around 10 games under .500 right now.
