Perkins is useless at this stage of his career and Perry Jones is a non factor right now. This all depends if OKC thinks that Tyson is fully healed to make a run this year and the next.
Also, I think they have a history of pining for Tyson. Didn't they want him right after the Mavs championship year?
They traded for him before he was on the Mavs and it got canceled because of an issue with his physical.
Ah..thank you.

which is why the thunder won't do it either... what I am finding now are trades being proposed by knick fans, basically saying the people we are giving up sucks, yet we expect to get back, first round picks and young promising talent.. LOL..
yea, I would do this trade for the picks like yesterday as well, but OKC wouldn't..

I'm for standing pat and letting contracts expire but if sideways deals can be done and it yields no extra contract years and a pick it would be well worth it. I'm willing to do this deal for a single pick no two as proposed by Briggs.

Perkins is probably why OKC does not win it all. Hes no where near as good as Chandler. Tyson still leads the leageu in FG% and is a top 15 defender and top 3 defensive C I know Presti already likes Tyson and anyone who knows basketball knos Tyson is worth two picks in the 20's + a player who is not used. We are making them a favorite for the championship in this trade.

The Knicks actually have a lot of very tradeable players if they do things right. For example, I'm sure there would be many suitors for Tyson, Melo, Shump, Beno that could be packaged with Felton (good contract), JR (not a terrible contract), Bargnani (not useless, expires next year or ETO), etc.
But the Knicks will botch everything because Dolan.

i do like briggs original deal. think it works out great for both teams. okc is NOT going to trade rotational guys.. too bad we cant get a guy like reggie jackson back though.
i wish we could send them melo AND chandler. id love to take ibaka back. any deal would have to involve a third team though.

They have melo and durant--0 need for melo they will NOT change the rotational function of this team other than Perkins

so I take it you thought/think OKC should have dealt James Harden for reasons outside of money?

It was money but the team as is has 0 need for melo--they have two primary scorers who take a lot of shots. They have efficient scorers off the bench in Lamb and jackson. The missing piece is more production from C--we can provide that.

I wouldn't interpret what Briggs said like that. Harden brings a wide range of skills. The one thing Melo brings - high PPG - isn't a need of theirs.
