For starters, gimmie this guy already. With Felton down again with the bad hammy, this guy's a no brainer. He could be our very own Kemba Walker:

I honestly believe if we infuse some youth and excitement, we could salvage the year. Start with PJ and Seth Curry -- heck, if we added these 2 right now, the Knicks would instantly become watchable again. There'd be a reason to watch again. Come on man--the first time this kid or Curry went off it would blow the roof right off the garden! What have we got to lose at this point? Gimme these 2 then focus on the frontcourt (and start there with Cole Aldrich---somebody explain to me why it took Woody so long to put Aldrich in last night against the Cavs?).

i thought this year, lowry would come back energized since jose was gone and rudy was on the team.

he disappointed heavily.

but with all that said, the last 2 games since rudy has been removed, he's looking more like the guy we traded for. attacking, shooting 3's, getting boards and just overall active and getting others involved.

so maybe it was a combo of casey, jose and rudy but so far, he's playing well. curious to see if it holds up but he'll be gone from toronto soon enough.

I haven't watched him play in a while but I've had him on my fantasy team and I notice the spike in production as well.

The knicks don't have anything to trade Toronto. I'm looking at the Bulls right now. They were rumored to sign Augustine... they should be able to get lowry easy with their assets.

Truthfully the knicks need both.

Latest trade scuttle: Raptors trying to construct deal with Knicks that would send Kyle Lowry to New York

The Knicks trading with the raptors GM can only end badly. I am very scared about what is going to happen if this trade goes through.

Hmm, maybe a three team trade? Not sure what we have that the Raptors covet. At this stage of his career, is Lowry just a slightly better version of Felton? I'm genuinely asking as I havent watched him in ages- he used to be a good defender- does he still have it?

If we get him it's just a rental- I hope we realize that when constructing a deal. He's a FA this offseason- if we re-sign him, it kind of ruins 2015, as he probably will want $8mil per year.

This really needs to happen. Lowry would be a solid for here. I'll do shump and Felton for Lowry if we can get some sort of draft compensation back too.

Speaking of Felton, he made SI's All-Atrocious team!:

PG: Raymond Felton, Knicks

Settling on the right point guard was clearly the toughest roster decision, which says a lot about the quality of depth at the position. Injuries complicated this one, too: Players such as John Lucas III, Jamaal Tinsley and Tyshawn Taylor were ruled out because they were/are stand-ins; Milwaukee’s Brandon Knight, a very strong candidate thanks to his 10.3 PER, 34.8 percent shooting and 17.1 turnover percentage, was ruled out because he just hasn’t played that many minutes. Ditto for the Lakers’ Steve Nash.

Felton has dealt with injuries this year, but he’s played in all but four of New York’s games. His fundamental credentials are strong: He’s shooting just 39.4 percent from the floor and a pitiful 27.9 percent from three-point range, his PER is well below average at 12.1 and he’s a starter for one of the NBA’s three worst defenses. More important, though, he’s not going to accidentally win games with his offense or defense. Other poor early-season PER performers such as the Lakers’ Steve Blake or the Celtics’ Avery Bradley offer legitimate value with their three-point shooting and on-ball defense, respectively. That Felton is averaging a career-low 10.3 points and that he has never averaged at least 16 points for a season are both big: The last thing I want is a point guard capable of putting a team on his back.

GOLLIVER: Grading the Rudy Gay trade

While the 5-15 Knicks have been better with Felton on the court than without him (New York went 0-4 when he was out), the biggest key to this selection is turning him into a fish out of water. In New York, Felton plays a majority of his minutes alongside ball-dominant, high-usage players like Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith. On this team, he will have no shooters to bail him out and the full responsibility of running an offense will be on his shoulders. That’s where his shaky outside jumper, inconsistent decision-making and poor finishing at the rim will come in handy.

Much like the real Knicks, but taken to the extreme, the All-Atrocious Team will squander Felton’s ability to work in transition by playing at a snail’s pace and surrounding him with inferior athletes who won’t be able to keep up when he pushes the pace. Get ready for a bunch of failed one-on-three fast breaks that end with Felton’s sprawled out on the baseline beseeching the officials for a call.

The puffy-chested over-confidence, side-eye scowls, emphatic frustration dribbles and a total willingness to speak his mind — no matter how bad things get — are the icing on this cupcake. Unlike his teammates on this squad, Felton isn’t dramatically overpaid at $3.6 million, but, all things considered, he’s still the right guy for the job.

Yikes! Though top be fair the entire knicks team could (and should) have been listed...

We're probably going to end up trading Shump for a 1st, then trade it to the Raps for a 4 month rental who'll walk, just so we can have a shot at making the playoffs! We never learn, we never learn

Yup then start Timmy with Lowry. Let's get some shooters to compliment Melo.

This looks like a total misdirect play to get THJ. No deal, Dolan...step away from the phone and go jam some old man blues licks

Didn't Toronto get Lorwy for a D-league scrub and a future first? I would think his value is even less then that now that he is in his walk year. Would we even get Lowry's bird rights?

funny you would say that. No way we make any trades with the Raptors. We will only be renting Lowry for the rest of the year. He is not even going to put us over the top to win it all. These are exactly the trades we keep making that have us in this mess now.

Tough situation for Knicks: With no first-round pick to add, NYK could be confronted w/unsavory option of putting Tim Hardaway Jr. in deal

If we end up trading any of our young for 1st rounders for a half a season rental for Lowry I am done with this team. Just because we have a new Gm does not mean we can get our butt kicked in a trade for the 3rd time by the Raptors Gm.

Can we throw in Robert Randolph & the Family band for a future first rounder?

It's probably going to be THjr Shumpert and a 1st because the Knicks are really that dumb. The raptors don't want Lowry the Knicks should understand this and realize they should not be offering more picks to a team that doesn't at all want the player they're giving away
