First of all, we don't have the pieces. We have no picks to trade (you can't trade away back to back picks) and Shumpert is our only piece. Shumpert isn't even closing to being worth what Rondo is worth.
Almost anything else you throw in is a negative. For them to take Amar'e or Bargnani, you'd have to give up more. Felton wouldn't be a negative, but he's useless to a team that's rebuilding. Same with Chandler, although you wouldn't want to give up him in any trade.
It's not happening people. Especially when you consider that the last thing the C's want to do is help us. Move on. There's probably a good 20-25 teams with more to offer than Shumpert.
this is all loud but nonetheless weak hyperbole, no offense man.
shumpert, felton, thard jr, murry, 2018 1st, 2nd rounders, and a crapload of cap space CAN get it done.
the issue isn't really do we have enough. no one thought we "had enough" to get melo, until he made it clear he "wanted" NY.
if rondo publicly says he wants to play for the knicks and isn't going to resign in 2015, ainge has no choice but to take what he can get and say thanks for it as well.
we can absorb what few teams will be willing to. and stop with this "ainge won't help us" nonsense. he clearly had no problem "helping" the nets, who are another divisional rival.
if we take back bogans, Wallace, and lee, that saves them a BOATLOAD in salary, and avoids them losing rondo for nothing should he say he'll only sign an extension with Team A or Team B.
not to mention, rondo's not the guy whose going to sign on for tankin for 2 straight years. he'll become a malcontent.
so yea, I could see it being possible yea. my question is - IS HE EVEN HEALTHY?
