The best of the new day is neccessarily beter thhan best of old day.

League is stronger faster
.

Its soup up. Lebon dominates the new age.

If normalized accross era jordan is on top at the moment with rings but absolutely speaking lebron is head and neck above anything world has seen

IWG, you are wrong about the old days vs. the new days

As for Lebron being the greatest, yeah ok, at flopping maybe

Better than Magic sure. Jordan? NO WAY!!

I would not even say better than magic.. magic was absolutely amazing....

Magic was amazing, but Lebron's defense and outside shooting seem to be on a different level. Still, Magic seemed to instill more confidence in his teammates for some reason.

LEBRON is a great defender, but magic just controlled the game... in so many ways.. what a winner..

Magic was not a good defender or shooter. Greatest playmaker ever though. He was more like Kidd but better

Lebron is better but not better than MJ

Knicks just went up by 1 with 10 seconds left in regulation, game 7. Who would you rather see walking on the court for the opposing team?

To me this makes the answer much easier.

Jordan is the greatest end of story

Yes, and of course we all know gunsnewing knows all about everything. I guess playing against Jerry West and Oscar Robertson doesn't count for anything either, right? What a douche. You are dumber than a bag of hammers, guns.

Russell was a freak athelete. He took Cousy's Celtics that couldn't make the playoffs and went 11 for 13. He won every game 7 he played in. Every single one. Anyone who knows merely anything about basketball or even team sports and isn't a fuhking douchebag might possibly understand that what Russ did has not and probably will never be duplicated in team sports again.

And you know who says things like "Jordan is the greatest end of story"? Nimrods who know even less than Mike Fatcessa.

better athletes do not mean better game. i was spoiled by the 80s, tail end of dr j, moses malone, kareem, bird, magic then jordan.
comparing that and before to now probably isnt fair, though the game is still the game. rules have added and detracted from it a bit, though the elite still play d and o, and have skills that do not count on athleticism (though it doesnt hurt to have that). too many modern players count on fast, strong... amare is a great example.

GO TEAM VENTURE!!!!!

Original statement was "best player I have seen".

DJ and a lot of others (including me) never say Russell play.

We digress to "GOAT" conversation thats a different subject. start a GOAT thread.

NBA has changed. Unlike baseball, basketball has changed over the years much more and completely independant of hgh use. What am I talking about? In basketball, rules have changed to accomodate some of the most "physical" guys(Mikan, Shaq, i am sure there are more)and at the same time it has gone away from being a more physical sport. Think nineties and before: handchecking is allowed and physical play is not discouraged that much. The Bad boy Pistons and the Ewing Knicks come to mind. The league now, at its current incarnation is more of a theater. Flopping is not only a norm but is practised by the greatest(LEBRON IS THA GREATESTEST) at the greatest level. Don't even try to compare it to the era of MJ basketball or to MJ as a player. I am not even talking about Bill Russel , who I did not have the pleasure of watching play.

Better athletes do mean better game. It's why no one watches pee wee ball, because the players are not athletically developed.

If you move faster, are stronger, move quicker can jump higher you will always win against all the skill in the world. Bulls 95 vs heat 12 get wiped like sandwiches because heat 12 so much more athletically superior (mainlining hgh, but that's another story)

It's nostalgia that Tints your eyes, because you remember happy days of your own, life that coincide with Jordan, etc

I have only one thing to say to this. Or rather one question to ask. How do sandwiches get wiped?

It probably has something to do with deep squats, ingesting pure lard and the tremendoous amount of time new sandwiches spend on the IR.
