Woody thought he could just use the start of the year to "figure out who they are". WTF? This is his fault. This is a team that was able to at least score even if they couldn't defend, but now they can't do either consistently. The plays are so simplistic that I can understand why Vogel ripped Woody's offensive scheme and defensive tactics. Woody is seeming like a fraud more and more. Once we lost the crutch of having Kidd and those vets he seems unable to get this team to execute on a high level.

They have JR and MWP just making dumb decisions with the ball rather than spacing the floor and swinging the ball like we did last year. There's no reason why this team had to abandon the offense that worked for them much of last year. He could've run that and added some new wrinkles to that base offense. Just go and look at how the team played with a lot of the same exact players last year and you'll see them executing at a much higher level. It's one thing to miss good shots but yet another to never even get good shots cuz players are winging it and trying to do too much. When is he gonna rein in JR who was going solo and turning it over with stupid plays at the end? What happened to the old "accountability" meme? Woody just lets them do stupid things game after game.

Woody seems to make no adjustments what so ever on either defense or offense. It's embarrassing watching teams run the same play over and over again and we do nothing to remedy it. He puts zero effort into planning the offense. Whatever he's teaching on defense ain't being picked up by the players because all they do is switch.

Like I said earlier- he was the right man for the job the last two season because he had a great rapport with all the players and got them to play hard. Now he doesn't have that rapport, he doesn't really have anything to offer.

Hey, at least my gamepicker numbers are back up - its so much easier to predict this team and how much they are going to lose, er be blown out by!

I think the gamepicker needs more spice - like an option to pick the greatest deficit this team will be down by +-30!

I miss Don Chaney! Lets get him back! Serious!

Will this team win one game on this current road trip. 0 & 5 should get any coach fired.

The Curse of Chris Smith

This team is not responding to the coach. They are done with him. When a team starts to miss free throws at the end it's a sign of players wanting a coaching change. - VMart

Our guards cannot keep up with the quality in the league.

Hitting his first seven shots, John Wall made Beno Idrih look like a stationary traffic cone. The night before, Udrih played well.

Pablo Prigioni can run the offense, but at 36 there is no way he can dictate defensive flow.

The Knicks fell behind 75-69 after three quarters, with the Wizards outscoring them 27-17 in the period. Their first half was crisp, notching 16 assists on 22 field goals and building a nine-point lead before the ball movement stopped in the final two quarters.

Changing the coach does not change the fact that talent wins basketball games.

Anyone who writes missed free throws are a sign of "players wanting a coaching change" deserves to have his keyboard drizzled with krazy glue.

One more thing, playing JR Smith is stunting the development of Tim Hardaway Jr, who shows signs of being a quick study.

One more Thing

"We've had our struggles this year [guarding point guards]. But the schedule is what it is, we can't run from it," - Mike Woodson

The Knicks face Portland's Damian Lillard on Monday, Chris Paul and the Clippers on Wednesday and Ty Lawson's Nuggets on Friday.

Making free throws are all about concentration and effort it's pretty obvious they aren't giving Woody all that. The man is on the ropes yet the players are not responding. I said it before that the talent simply isn't there. When Woody's best players are missing free throws I don't know man. There is no doubt there is something going on with this team we don't know about. It's probably cry out for help.

Tyson coming back will help but he's not going to turn a bottom 5 team into a top 5 team. Only an entirely different philosophy underlying all transactions would do that.

And it's not like any of the players are underachieving compared to what you'd expect. I don't see what a new coach would do.

You'll gain that "win spike" that all teams get with a coaching change, but in reality the team isnt good, certainly not anwhere as good as last years.

These guys look lost mainly and they are, as there isnt anyone capable of leading them on the floor.

I feel bad for them on this road trip, all the best point guards and bigs will feast on the weaknesses we all knew the team had BEFORE the season.

They'll probably get a new coach right before Tyson returns. Why put a new coach in the position of running this squad now?

If Tyson comes back and starts playing the way he did this season and not last season, I believe they will get their ish together. Bargs is becoming more comfortable on offense, we will have a stopper in the paint again on D, which is often a catalyst for the offense. The D is improving but its not where it would be without a healthy, active, Tyson. There were some chemistry issues before Tyson went down, but it did give Bargs the opportunity to feel more comfortable with his new team on O.

I'm not happy with the overall demeanor of the team, it lacks an identity. Have to see what this team is like when we have everyone back again, that includes Felton. Still want Murry to get some PT which will take some minutes away from our PGs. It might light a fire under our PGs if they know that someone younger and faster is knocking on their door.

Smith underachieving
Shumpert underachieving
Felton underachieving (when he's played)
Bargnani inconsistent

To me, Shumpert is by far the biggest mystery.

None of that has to do with Woodson though. Smith is rusty and Felton was injured. I said they weren't underachieving compared to what you'd expect. What did you expect from a rusty Smith or an injured Felton? And Bargs and Shumpert are not underachieving relative to their career #s.

Scary and sad.

This team has just fallen apart. And we didn't look great with Tyson healthy either. I hope when he comes back that we can turn a corner but we are digging a deep hole and I don't mean with losses. The team is just badly assembled.

Sad on so many levels, no draft pick in the deepest draft in years, not even our 2nd rounder. And, not to put salt in the wound, but we gave away a great PG that we don't have the assets to reacquire. The curse of Lin in full effect. As well as the curse of Dolans stupidity. And it is so bad that he gave his first interview in 7 years or so.
I just won't "forgive" Dolan for all the crap. Born in NY but don't care so much about an organization that just doesn't listen to the fans.

It would be nice if our leader could defend Damian Lillard, Chris Paul or Ty Lawson.

Not 1 player on this teamed a player That I see as a guy we need or can go 4ward with. . Nothing special. What does a knick fan look 4ward too? Utah atleasts looks 4ward to putting a franchise 20 year old player on their team. In the nba you can't be in the middle. Brooklyn and ny are very similar although I think the nets can make something out of Lopez Blanche plumlee We do not even have that. We have no good young players

Alan Hann said look for Shump to get more minutes at PG. Does Shump have play making capabilities. I say yes if you call feeding the post play making.

Two things will happen....his trade stock will rise or he'll get the Toney Douglas treatment from Woody ala Dantoni.
