the paradigm seems to be morphing towards 3 playmaking wings/swingmen and two frontcourt players.

This is a good point. Melo & JR bring the ball up a ton of the time. But they don't see the floor like a good PG does so that's not a winning strategy. Only a few guys in the league who can do that out of their position.

All we need is a PG who can facilitate the offense, spot up at the 3pt line, and play good defense. Felton does none of those things well. Prig is actually the perfect PG but is too old to log major minutes.

Also, Stein says Knicks are taking to Sac, so i'm guessing either Vasquez or Thomas could be options.

What's happened to Lowry since he landed on the raptors- used to like him a lot, but he's been playing below par for a while now- is it injuries or just a decline?

He started real hot with the raptors last season before he got injured. I think he is out of rhythm from lingering injuries.

casey castrated him trying to make him a more "jose" type pg. he's playing east/west and not attacking anymore.

Sucks- used to think he was great- I thought the Raps got a steal when they landed him

He has also had a reputation for being difficult to coach. Maybe some of that is involved with his recent play. Either way, his talent is indisputable and its good enough to make him our best PG even at this rate.

Nothing like plowing a group of 4's to understand the value of a 10, lol. Slash, I'd never want to see Chris Duhon in a Knicks uniform again. He should've been out of the league 3 years ago and would have been had Otis Smith not been a moron with the Magic.

A group of 3/ 4's=12 which is better than 10!

Touche. I'm certainly not knocking the principle, lol.

Dragic is the PG who the Knicks should look to get. He might help resurrect what is left of Amare. Barges always plays better with a Euro type PG.

Dragic is good but... are guys willing to give Shump? They wanted him for the longest. I would shoot him over in a heart beat but I dunno if the salaries will ever match.

I personally want Isaiah Thomas. The kid is balling out of control this year so I dunno if we can get him. If we traded for him in the off season we Could of gotten him

Agreed, and pretty observant. MElo is a great scorer (who shoots at a terrible %). We really need players around him who get him the ball in a better position and not just get him the ball. I kind of think, a pg like Dragic fits the bill as he is a scoring threat, so that would create more space. Lin is another great PG for Melo as he can take charge. But don't get me going there.

Just look at Melo the star on the Olympic team. Put some intelligence around him (since he is not really a brain out there) and watch him shine.
And Felton, well, he just isn't a smart PG.

Bargs on the team is showing value in this regards. Tyson needs to hit that outside shot more and we are getting closer. Hardaway Jr is another good high IQ guy to have out there.

JR Smith, oh boy. He does play great when focusing on driving like last year before the contract.

I like Isiah Thomas and I sense there being a bit of a leader in him but wouldn't trade for him. We'd have to give up valuable assets and he'd be a poor long term investment. One bad step and he could forever lose his speed/athleticism that has made him a viable player in spite of his size.
