James Dolan under Pat Riley allowed the team to be put together the right way in the 90's .

Lately he's just been looking for one headliner still in their prime with a band of has been stars or perennial backups and put them in position to start.
After Jeff Vandummy he has chosen band aid coaches or yes men. Then he hired a head strong gimmick coach in Mike Danphoney to bring entertainment to the garden in between pursuing another headliner big name player who has never won anything.

If you ask around the league who wants to come to NY to win a championship (without getting an enormous amount of money to sign)they would say EMPHATICALLY NO ! They come for the money because he overpays players who don't deserve the money he's willing to pay them.

So we the fans suffer the most, we go for entertainment purposes & not any true expectations to win a CAHMPIONSHIP, because in the back of our minds we know something is still WRONG !

I agree with eveverything except Dantoni. I think walsh felt that Dantoni had a system that could work and get wins. Not sure they were on the same page all of the time tho..

Who hacked your account playa?

If you knew how much I didn't believe in Mike Danphoney's system to win a championship , you wouldn't have joked by saying who hacked my account. LOL

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

He has a lot money to waste and he wasted it on sport teams.

Who wants to be around some stuff which stinks?

problem is that dolan, a recovering addict himself, thinks that he's running a halfway house and not a basketball team,

not every system wins a championship, but it worked in regular season and he had sucess in the playoffs.. had the fiasco where nash got shoved into the scorers table not happened and the following suspensions, they may have been in the finals...

That system will never win a championship in the NBA, maybe in the European leagues.

ironically Woody is running a slow down version of D'atnoni's offense.

So if Dantonis couldnt win, even though he has been to the WCF TWICE with it, what is a slowed down version gonna do?

The media-shy chairman of Madison Square Garden was conspicuously missing from his baseline seat during most of the second quarter of Sunday’s lethargic loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. And for good reason.

According to several sources, Dolan was ready to erupt after the Knicks surrendered 40 first-quarter points and as the deficit ballooned to 23 Dolan went hunting for Steve Mills, the team’s new president and general manager.

Could he be ready to trade someone or fire the coach ? Players can go either way, play tight knowing the owner is looking for answers. Or sac -up and play the right way regardless if the coach knows who to put in when.

WE SHALL SEE!

Dolan sounds like a lot of posters here the last few days. Offering up all kinds of suggestions and trades.'

Melo might look at his idiot owner and think "this guy really can't put together an organization that can put together a winning team".......

He'll get shump traded and it will calm him down.

No we need to trade for Kendrick Perkins(Not getting a lot of time 16 min other night), for who...... knowing OKC doesn't want to spend any money over the cap. We need some girth in the Middle, too many string beans in front court.

how much does he make, and salary wise how do we trade for him????? My guess is it would be a high price, a big salary for a back up center. but it does feel good making such pronouncements for the team don't it? Kind of like your idiot pronouncements of our government turning us into a police state without thinking. Just reacting.

As much as I hate Dolan, I hate the Clippers owner even more- if he ever bought the Knicks I couldn't support them anymore- the man's just disgusting- a nasty old racist.

Why are you berating playa for simply channelling his inner IWG? Everyone knows the government controls the crop farming industry through subsidies! Thank god they have not yet extended their evil powers to the sources of our beloved milkfat!
