With the exception of last season, the Knicks were woefully mediocre after a decade of being flat out awful. There are people entering their 20's who have never seen a legitimate championship caliber team in New York and incredibly frustrated people, like myself, who have come close to swearing the Knicks off completely. Sorry for the late response. I read it earlier and forgot to respond. I do agree with you 100% though. Should be interesting to see how things end up this season; I definitely think the Knicks will have a better regular season record than the Nets but I think the Nets will go further in the playoffs if healthy. |

Their draft pick situation is even worse than ours!: 2014 first round draft pick to Boston 2014 first round draft pick to Atlanta 2014 second round draft pick to Philadelphia 2015 first round draft pick to Atlanta 2015 second round draft pick to Atlanta 2016 first round draft pick to Boston 2016 second round draft pick to L.A. Clippers 2017 first round draft pick to Boston 2017 second round draft pick to Atlanta 2018 first round draft pick to Boston Deron Williams is Marbury Mark 2- he is going to be a headache as they start to decline. They should have cap space in 2016, but likely between now and then they'll add some crappy contracts in a desperate attempt to just make the playoffs (much like we used to do!). |

![]() Die hard fans stick to their teams.
Nets can grab a whole new generation of fans that grew up knowing only the knicks suck. The causual fans money is just as green. If Nets win a championship the city is theirs. Its about winning. Pierce and Garnnet if on the knicks would be accepted and cheered. Nets are built to dismantle Miami, question is can they get to ECF's? Are they built to beat other teams? They are very deep. They should finish 1st in atlantic and grab a top 4 seed. After that, who knows. We got 82 games to sort it all out. Bottom line is they are nearly sold out each game and have solid core and bench. Owner gone 82mil in Taxes. Its freaking crazy, but the dude is all in on this season. They also went outside the box to hire Kidd. Its interesting and I will watch this team not because they are brooklyn, its because they are interesting. Young fan base has yet to have their knick "Moment" so they will attach to the team that gives them that. For most of us its "Willis game 7" and Clyde drops 19 dimes. What else is there? "Coming home"??? Knicks have not done anything of significance in 14 years. The city is up for grabs for those that don't bleed orange and blue and I say there are a lot of fans that could easily jump on that band wagon and have their "Moment'. Once you have the moment, its YOURS!!!!! |

A sad day indeed, when a concerned, diehard Knicks fan can identify with end of the line starphucqued stooges like KG and PP. Maybe we can all sit on the sidelines at the Barclays, staring at a replica of the 2007 Celtic Chip Banner, in that retro black and white. And the Somber choir sings in response: Wednesday can't come soon enough! |

Sing along with tkf, C'mon you all know the words! Gee tkf, I thought you were the voice of reality and reason. PP and KG are not on the Knicks. MJ was never on the Knicks. Reggie Miller was never on the Knicks. Danny Ainge was never on the Knicks. I deal with what we have, not what might be in your splendid imagination. Stick to the topic, this post is not about the Bargs and MWP signings. Stay focused. I hereby accept and realize your mastery over the use of the word "great" in relation to anything this franchise has done. |

Why can we identify with the Nets players? Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.
