I see a guy like Faried penciled in at the 4 spliting minutes with Bargs. Amare and KMart are the rain I'm even taking about it.

I do find it odd the type of talent you guys expect back for a guy that's done nothing special so far except get hurt. When is the wait and see Window close for him?

I trade Shump for Faried but I don't think the Nuggets do it.

We can cover for loss of Shump with combined play of JR/THJR along with occasional 2 PG line-ups -- we can also add another veteran SG if needed.

Faried would be ideal off our bench -- coming into the game with KMART/STAT/METTA/THJR/PRIG/BENO and just giving us an animal on the boards and someone who will run the floor and enfuse life into the arena.

I think Faried is better at what he does (rebound/energy) than what Shump does best (defend).

Tyson
Barg
Melo
JR
Ray

KMART/Tyler
Faried/STAT
Metta
THJR/Beno
Prigs/Murry

In this case given we add a young PF -- we add a solid vet SG as our 15th man (or back-up SG) rather than add a Diago or an Aldridge.

Good stuff man we're in agreement

Well looking at their roster they have some quality bigs. No real shooting guard and Alot of point guards.

They gave been starting Hickson. Maybe they like him over Faried and might be looking to see what they could get.

The Knicks with the emergence of hardaway and the presence and commitment to JR... Shump should be shopped too. Shump has potential but we have a need.

Denver actually has a roster full of guys that can justify playing time.. they need to make a trade.. but not for shumpert.. they have foye who will give them shooting, they have enough wings.. what I think they need is another PG.. A young one...

They have Lawson and nate

NATE more of a combo, I am actually talking about another change of pace PG that can run offense..

based on numbers he runs an offense as well as Lawson.

lol what numbers do you want to share?

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

in reality it's closer than you think but that was with Lawson in Karl's uptempo style. Who knows if Lawson can run a different style

Why not look up for yourself? You can even use your usg/asst rate/to. You could go by their per 36 too. Over the last few years, since GS Nate and Lawson #'s are close

Faried's defense is supposed to be bad. I don't watch enough Nuggets to say whether this is true or not. Personally, I think we need shump's ability to defend on the perimeter more than we need another combo forward on the roster. Don't get me wrong, I like Faried's energy. I'm just not sure how much of a difference it will make to the roster we have now, especially if we play at last year's pace.

Wow. I was a bit surprised when I saw this. Not sure what Denver is thinking. Haven't seen much of them in the preseason. Are they still trying to slow things down and post up Javale?

Diogu might not put up the same numbers as Faried, but I think he can bring the same skill set at a discount. Certainly not for Shump. No one on this team is untouchable IMO. If we are going to trade Shump it has to be a deal that will take us to the next level, don't believe this trade would do it.

The Nuggets box scores indicate Anthony Randolph is playing quite a bit for them. He appears to be putting up numbers. Is anyone following their preseason team? Would love to know how he looks on the court.

I don't know about on the court, but on the bench AR still looks like he is about to burst into tears.

I'm not gonna get fooled again. I want to see some consistent play from AR in the regular season before I jump on the bandwagon.

It sounds like he just might be cracking the rotation and he is playing on the perimeter. He is still young. 24?

That's wild. Didn't realize his age. He would've benefitted if he stayed in college and got real coaching.

But, will Shump ever be better than JR? If no then you go for a big.

The 1+1=3.

What does Faried do to make others better? Put Bargs at center at times? Can Faried lock down some players when Artest can't?

Small for big?

Forget Hardaway for a moment because we don't know his upside. I think the ROokie sits anyway for this year.

More Nuggetts for Carmelo.

faried does not "lock down" anyone... he is a rebounding machine though, kinda like Melo for his size.
the only way i trade shump is if we get confirmation or inside news that his acl is not ready for prime time.

What do you mean "kinda like Melo." Melo's bigger than Faried (same height but heavier) but rebounds at about half the rate of Faried.

meaning rebounding better than most folks for their height/weight proportion.

No deal. No offense on his part leads to more ISOlation plays. I amopen to trading Shump but not until this year is done. LEt's see what he can give with a full year.
