At half time tonight when Herb Williams was asked about how the team was doing he mentioned everyone but Shump. Then at the end of the game Woody made it look like no matter if he hit seven in a row JR Smith stands a good chance to start. I see Shump getting the Copeland effect and I don't like it. I believe that a deal was made to start JR Smith. Woody acted like what Shump did was not good enough. if Dolan has it made up in his mind to get rid of Shump then Dolan is an azz hole. It don't look good in my opinion. Hell Shumpert starting should be a no brainer. I just don't like Woody's attitude and remarks regarding Shump. Management Can't get political on us now. I believe that Shump can be an all-star. he gets better every year. Woody needs to get some balls and stand up to Dolan. I am a Knicks die hard fan but have a problem with the Knicks management. Keep Shump.
So why doesn't people believe the knicks are being run by politics and not basketball talent decisions?
It's why we didn't sign Copeland and signed Prigs for more money even though we scooped up Udriah.
Anybody that makes a little wave of becoming a fan favorite with talent, we have to move him because of our #1 star Mello. Can't steal any of his shine, but he can't do it by himself he needs help.
Dolan might just want this team to be a show on Broadway and not a bonafide winner in the NBA.
Even thought I dont agree with the whole "anyone whos a threat to Melo has gotta go" narrative, you honestly believe thats why Copelands gone?
i don't think that's why cope is gone,
i do think that's why j-lin is gone!!
Whether it was Melo's doing on either, both decisions were wise.
ouch!!
did you see the espn article that ranked lin higher than felton?
i prefer lin over felton still,
but it is what it is.
he was our guy, our gift from the heavens, he is part of our lore
No dispute, he gave us something we hadnt had in a while, but the decision was a good one no matter whom made it possible.
While I do think Lin is a good player, i think folks saw the pinnacle and think that would be closer to his norm and i dont share that view.....he's good, never will be great, but good is littered all over the league.
Felton is good enough for what the team needs...thats pretty much all i care about.
Whether Lin could serve the role better...no one knows, no true point in debate a what if vs whats already here.
