I just want to say that I can't stand Tyson Chandler....I know you guys know that by now. I would sign Hadaddi and Barron then trade Tyson for Humphries straight up and then waive Humphries and take the cap relief....

Knicks are good right now guys....if we get Haddadi we got better. Go Knicks

Agree with you on Tyson, but I don't like him so much that I'd trade him for nothing. He still has value.

I know.....I just don't think its wise to sit on a guy that refuses to improve his game year to year. He's a over paid role player/energy guy. When the game is on the line you can't rely on him because he can't score. He can't drive and finish he has no hook shot and he refuses to shoot the jumper because he has zero confidence....now if he had a basic hook shot with his good hand at least and a working jumpshot then I would not be so against him. He can't put the ball on the floor and its questionable if he can evem simply lay the ball up....everything is either dunk or free throws with this guy. He can't adapt to defense. We need him to be a threat to score. Even the biggest bum at center in the league can hit a jumper and finish a drop step with defense on them.

Even in international play, Tyson didn't play a lot of minute even with him being the only real center....he hurts the team since all he does is defend and dunk.

I know it's popular to dump on Tyson coming off a sub-par year but he was legitimately hurting last year. What he brings to this team is severely underrated. He was DPOY in 11 b/c he when healthy is a game-changer on D. Don't forget what our interior D looked like pre-Tyson (yes some system related but alot has to do with having a legit presence at C).

While he is not Patrick in his prime offensively, he does enough off of pick and roles ,offensive rebounding and garbage points to be effective offensively. As long as we have shooters around him he is more than enoguh considering all the other things he brings to the table.

He needs to play about 26 minutes a game and maybe sit out some back to backs to save him for the playoffs. Bargs/Haddadi are a nice combo to throw at Hibbert.

Can't they just give him some meaningless front office job (like GM!) like they did with Marbury's family?

We need a big man and they sign Chris Smith. LOL - I'd bet a lot that that is B.S...

If Chris Smith makes the team, he better hope he plays some incredible ball.

Hoping for Haddadi. Anybody that can provide minutes against Hibbert.

Pretty sure this was a joke/hack. I put Haddadi's name into a search and this came up as retweeted by someone.

Source told me: "I just don't see [#Knicks] not signing another big, whether it's Haddadi, Cole Aldrich, Earl Barron or someone like that."

I've been against Tyson for a while...The first year when Melo was all alone against Boston he played ok, but he wasn't great. He's regressed every year in my opinion...the defensive player of the year under Woodson...it was a joke. Yeah the defense was better but he was rewarded because the defense was so bad before for so long that they gave it to him. The team as a whole was better defensively and Woodson has a good philosophy behind it....

Anyway...this 2013 playoffs was the last straw for me....his tap back rebounds, his health, his lack of offensive game....his lack of leadership with the way he complains every play to the refs and had the nerve to throw his team under the bus.....what leadership...

he's a phoney. overrated.

Are you talking about the playoffs series against Boston in 2011 because TYson was not on the Knicks?

Was able to watch here in Manila live for the Fiba-Asia, the reports are legit as there was a new york knick scout in attendance of every game.

Haddadi is huge, he is a legit 7"1-7"2 player and has a great touch around the rim, granted the level of competition is low compared to the NBA, but he shot very well from the line to show that he has the touch from the perimeter. His defensive instincts are also very good, he dosent go for shot fakes and really intimidates the offensive player.

His weakeness is the speed of the game in the NBA. He is really slow, he has no lateral movement whatsoever and im scared all the stretch 5 players will have a field day against him and also his pick and roll defense sucks.

All in all if we do get him, its a steal for the minimum, he is young( about 26 years old) had solid per 36 numbers with the other teams he played for and played really well for Iran in major tournaments such as the world cup and the Olympics. He has solid size that we could use if we face the Pacers again in the playoffs

Tyson certianly isn't one of the all time great 2 way centers of yesteryear like Ewing, Robinson or even Shaquille. Those guys are almost an extinct breed nowadays. But when healthy he is an elite defensive center who is athletic enough to at least be a decent 'hustle' scorer. He's the type of player that many will miss when he's gone b/c then you see how much of a difference he made on D.

Lastly, A healthy Tyson doesn't let Hibbert abuse him like that but since it is the last thing we remember its human nature to knock him.

When will people learn about judging players based exclusively on youtube highlights? Here is a more realistic snippet of how he plays, though you'll have to put up with the abysmal moronic racism from the clipper bigot announcer (think he got suspended at the time):

He is a "break in case of an emergency only" player. He'll be ok as the 15th guy.
