my expectation is that he will eventually team up with JR in da club and they will hit the slopes together,

bargs is an italian party boy, you can see him down there in milan probably lining them up and dancing with the women,

on the court, he will have a strong comeback season and drop 17 with 4 boards for us on 44 fg% and 39% threes.

but what will the *knicks* winning percentage be?

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

He is also our most effective 2 way player, unless Shumpert has greatly improved on his offensive skills. Bargs has a more diverse and polished skillset than Bosh, Bosh being a slightly better rebounder and Bargs being a better shooter/defender. Overall we now likely have THE best frontcourt on the league. Indi picked up Scola, hehe thats not gonna help. Chicago will also have fits defending Bargs. Nets will not be able to defend either one of our 1-2 punch. Looking forward to what Barkley will say , or actually I am not, he'll probably just tell us to wait until the playoffs

That's what we thought when we picked up Melo forming our "big" three.

they will lose 7 more games than last year which means anywhere from 4th to 6th seed. you do realize the odds of winning a title as a 4th-6th seed is very rare? home court is virtually impossible.

i hear a lot of booing at msg in bargnani's future. the bigger the build-up the harsher the criticism. maybe he is the sort who cries all the way to the bank. time will tell but my hopes are not high given his overall body of work and approach to the game.

The chemistry between Prigioni and Bargnani will be fun to watch.

Carmelo Anthony becomes a decoy.

.. I mean honestly, how do you know if they will have any chemistry at all?

and not nearly the heart and overall game.. not even close..

Melo was part of the big two. Tyson completed the big three. Amare's health issues have minimized the big three. Bargs has had injuries but they aren't chronic, career threatening or will cause him to be on a minutes cap until his knees give out.

MY expectations are that he settles into a different role where he doesn't isolate/post as much as he did. I see him as a cutter, spot up shooter, pick and pop guy that occasionally post or isolate. Over the pass few years his spot up and pick and pop numbers have been stellar for a big and I think that success will continue. On defense I think Woody will put him into a position to do what he do best, defend in the post and in isolation. Hopefully he will listen and fit into the switching D well since it should limit some thinking.

I think when you talk about heart there are two things you need to consider. The first is bargs was in a really bad situation and that wears a guy down after awhile. The second is gallo is a world class flopper. Sometimes guys writhing on the floor trying to get a call for little or no contact get credit for always bouncing back up or struggling up. That isn't a sign if more heart in my opinion. Usually guys don't get the tremendous heart label until they have achieved a lot in the playoffs. Neither of the guys being compared here has been out of the first round.

actually it looks to me that the guy is neither very athletic nor really in supreme shape-- that is a problem with which knicks fans are all too familiar. does anybody want to say with a straight face that andre bargnani is the second biggest piece to a championship puzzle?

can't wait to be "entertained" by this team.

Well it would be pretty hard to characterize you as open minded since you have posted on this board. You tried to make the claim that melo was out of shape at the start of last season despite a blistering start and a summer playing for team USA. Even photographic evidence didnt take the melo is fat out of your talking points rotation.

In regards to the Knicks you seem to have a pretty nasty list of things you can't wait for. It gets a bit tiring reading posts that seem to be written with the intent of being provocative.

wow. im glad i asked this question. seems like a lot of people are high on gallo (oops i mean ABargnani). i think hes a horrible defense player and rebounder. as a result, i can picture him being in the dog house often. However, i think he will get enough playing time to score due to injuries to other players (like stat). woody simply doesnt tolerate AWFUL defense for long periods of time

11ppg and 5 rebs off the bench.

the best thing about acquiring AB was his expiring contract in 2015

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Im still wondering if Woodson will play him. He played small all year. If Woodson sticks to how he coached last year Bargs gets maybe 20 minutes as a back up Center ,Probably with Martin up front to guard the best offensive 4 or 5.

I dunno how you can call a dude soft if he's looking to dunk it every time down the lane. The knicks need that aspect. I can't see many teams matching up against us if we're healthy. The guys have to move the ball and trust each other. Cuz they could put A'mare, melo and Nani out there and at that point who do you guard?
