What did JR know and when did he know it?

This came out at the same time Rhianna said he was playing
Poorly because he was partying. I even posted it here
But everyone preferred to believe otherwise..

being injured and partying are not mutually exclusive

Wasnt he also playing well in the Boston series up until that elbow?
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Part 1 of my keys to a successful season is in the books.

Part 1
JR getting out of Shumpert's way

Part 2
Shumpert > Wade

Part 3
Bargnani > Dirk

I think Dirk became "Dirk" when he started attacking the rim on a regular basis. Wasn't always like that. Right now Bargs is pre-Dirk, so to speak. Needs to make the same changes in his game to be on the same level IMO.

JR's recovery time is long - so that probably means that they repaired the injured tissue vs just snipping off jagged edges. He'll be better off in the long term. As long as he takes it slow, he'll be just coming on when the rest of the players on the team are just breaking down. :)

Those are some lofty goals. Shumpert just doesnt have the feel for the game like Dwayne Wade. Bargs is immensely talented for his size but is lazy.He could of been a special player.

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Bet 60 percent of then didn't have it done after signing a 4 year deal in their late twenties. Zwerling is a Blurb o Mat.

But wait, doesn't that simply mean he'll be back by November? Possibly by the beginning of the season? I mean, is it that big of a deal? I just don't see it as one. To each his own.

Starting a 4 year contract with knee surgery is never a good thing. Its just more wear and tear on his body. Add that to someone who always seems to find a way to screw up like clockwork, and you have a bad situation. I was against a long term deal for Smith because something always happens. Not smiling through this one.

With JR out, we need Raja Bell. I don't trust this team with just 2 SGs. We ALWAYS have injuries. Hardaway is injured just happens to be inured right now. Add Bell,Murry, KMart and have Tyler/Jennings battle for last spot.

Isola is on the money

Damned good questions, unfortunately. Aw crap, here we go again.

not for me.

JR signed for $2.8M last year and it was obviously waaaaaayyyyyy below market value, this is the Knicks doing right by the player. His $5.5M may still be undervalued.

That's nice and all Martin but we are talking about the same guy who imploded in two playoffs. We got more than we paid for during the regular season and a lot less when it mattered in the playoffs. I give him all the credit for his regular season success but not to the point where its in return for a bum knee and a 4 year contract. Its a pattern. I fell for it but at some point you want to cut bait.

According to Zwerling, the team knew about the injury during the playoffs.

Doesn't really matter. Can't spend the money elsewhere and it doesn't affect 2015...

Imploded. He was obviously injured and didn't live up to his in-season play, which was fantastic and possibly means JR was on an upward curve to his game being more complete.

Again, JR played for the Knicks for last year (and the year before too) at below market value, how do you want to run your organization? Is this a career devastating injury or just out 3-4 months and almost good as new?

agreed

You always take care of the people that take care of you. If he played below value on the promise we will pay him more next year that is what you do no matter what. Like what others have said in this thread the money we spent on him could only be spent on him. It would not have gotten us another free agent.
