yeah and no. What is he gonna do, play 2 ten minute stints. If so, then to be effective, you'd have to feed him for those 10 minutes which would make the offense very predictable. Also, by the time he is likely to get into a rhythm, he will be going back to the bench. Man I wish he would retire but, that isn't happening

It is probably the best you can hope for. He probably should have non game days off and only do water work but I don't know if he will do that.

Why couldn't they just do the Suns contract(4 years, $80m) with the last year, a Team Option?

Donnie, phucking Donnie.....

Amare would have to retire or miss and 85% of a season like Mobley/allan houston in order for the knicks to get insurance money and that ain't happening.

Rashad lewis got traded before the final yr of his contract, at the time it was the worst contract in all of sports. We got Tmac in the final yr of his contract making 20 mill..

Amare is tradable next season buddy..relax

The irony is the best way Amare can help the Knicks win is the retire and somehow get his salary off our books if that is even possible...

the article said he likely won't play at all on back to backs. Considering that his agent was commenting and agreeing in the article, I'd be surprised it this doesn't become a sad fact.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I know man, next year he's an asset for sure.

Just thinking of all the holes that $20 million could've plugged with our current core...

It's just frustrating listening to him talk about his comeback and how he is going to work out with the Dream...

well, if he's only going to play 2 ten minute stints, this would help his efficiency while on the floor. Dude was pretty much unstoppable when he got in the game (for the most part).

I think it's a little bit disruptive to the team..When u have to cater to one individual and have to adjust your team to accommodate his needs, it can be disruptive..But I guess it's the only option we have at the moment...

he can be a VERY EFFICIENT 20 minute guy, and you gotta love that,

there have been max players who give you less in the last few years of their deal,

when amar'e was limited to under 30 last season he was dropping mad buckets on a high fg% and scooping a few boards here and there,

you gotta love that off your bench, it is what it is, it's not the worst thing,

we knew we were ****ed with the amar'e signing, i hated it at the time, but if this is what you end up with, that's okay with me, i'll take that

that's why I am not as down on Amare as I would the typical player. It's up to Woody to make it work and to make sure the offense when he is in isn't too obvious.

My fear is he works really hard this offseason, is a workout warrior in training camp and then breaks down at the start of the season.
