Approaching his prime, and finally healed, I Man Shumpert can average 15 and 6 rebounds in his sleep.

With Melo attracting attention, Bargnani will drop 18.6 a game, minimal.

Carmelo averages 24.9, with a smile.

It's called better balance.

Shump hasn't shown that scoring ability yet. I still predict Felton out scores him. Bargnani should score in the mid to high teens, depending on how he's used and how consistent he can play. 20 point scorers are rare in today's league.

tj23 - whether Shump continues to grow as a basketball player, (yes to that) and outscores Ray Felton is moot.

Carmelo desperately needed a scoring sidekick and now he has one who, as you noted, can drop mid to high teens.

Balanced scoring works.

Six men in double figures.

I agree but I think it would be a plus if Felton was taking less shots as was Melo.

I dont see this as a championship team. We have so much money in 4 guys. Our trouble is paying so much for Tyson Chandler and the role players that followed Novak Camby Kidd alone were 11mm that another 25mm in 4 players. We shouldve spent more money in the draft for a big man and a PG.

Its a slow team. Anthony's not fast and Chandler and Bargs arent beating people down the floor. If Melo goes down this team is giving away a top 5 pick in the best draft in 20 years. If Lebron goes down Miami can still compete. Kind of scary. I think we got the best of the last trade but like someone mentioned--does it matter?

There was no big man in the draft that we could've obtained that was ready to help us in 2012. Heading into last year, I don't think anyone really questioned adding Camby to the roster, just the money and years. Camby still showed signs of life in 2011-2012 and it wasn't out of the realm of possibility to expect to contribute something last year. Kidd was horrible the second half of the season, but it's unlikely that we could've gotten better production form the Tyshown Talyors, Scott Machados and Maalik Wayns (who I actually like) of the world.

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick

our line up last year to start season when we started really well. We did need to get a youth infusion--but its all at the wing where our main guys play Melo and Bargs.

Chandler
Wallace
Camby
Copeland
Amare
Carmelo
White
Shumpert
Kidd
Kurt Thomas
Prigioni
Felton
J R Smith
Steve Novak
Ronnie Brewer.

We don't own our owe 2014 draft pick already... went to Denver in Melo trade.

Oh got it, price we paid for Melo. On another note, didn't the Knicks play fairly well without Melo last year?

Don't worry, we'll bitch about a new batch of Knicks in 2015!

God that Rajon Rondo never passes, all he does is shoot! Inefficient ball hog.

LeMarcus Aldridge cannot post for shyt! All he does is chuck 3s!

Why oh why did we invest all that money in Klay Thompson...

They did, but I think it was based on guys like Kidd Copeland JR Smith a collaborative effort. While we do not have a finished line up--it will be interesting to see how our roster does indeed fill out. It would be helpful if we could turn Chandler into three players and use the mini MLE on a C or PF

Kenyon Martin is like 35 and gonna be 36 soon. Not sure about why their's "humorous" factual inaccuracies in the first post when the purpose of the post is to make a point about age in the rotation. To each his own I guess.
