Prokovich has Zillions of dollars, Kidd came to NY for a big payday(got it), and now he knows how bad Nets owner wants to beat the knicks and win the division (his primary goal). He observed and took notes how Woody coached and figured he could do that. Pierce and Garnett loves beating Melo and know how to get into his head so they signed on too.

Stern hates the Knicks too and loved for this to go down the way it did.

I'm starting to wonder whats up with James Dolan behind close doors and why he and Isiah are so tight.

Going to Toronto to enjoy the weekend with the Fam, this rain is too much though.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Have fun in Toronto. King is a gunslinger and apparently Prok has no concerns for the cap and the penalties he will have to pay. Love the move by the nets though.

This had to be planned all along, a lot of people hate this franchise and James Dolan.

he wanted to be a head coach. he led the nets to two finals appearances and won a title as a maverick. i don't see where there is an ulterior motive unless you wanted to accuse him of getting paid too much in his last season as a player. as it is, without kidd the knicks would not have even won 50 games last year.

it's a great PR move by the nets and with garnett and pierce on the floor for 24-28 minutes a night his job as coach will be that much easier.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

James Dolan isn't the only one that's overly paranoid when it comes to the Knicks I see.

I think the Nets planned on hiring Brian Shaw. I also don't think going back to a place where you had your glory days, went to two finals and cemented your future as a hof is done to spite a team you played for one year in your 19 year career.

So what you are saying is when Jr and Melo reverted baCk to ISO WHEN WE WERE WINNING WITH BALL MOVEMENT, you don;t think guys like Iman, Prigioni, Novak Copeland, didn't want to keep playing that way ?

They were upset but had no juice card to complain. Chandler spoke UP for those guys , but his play didn't measure up because of the injury(SIC) and losing weight.
GAME 6
The Pacers appeared to be in control in the third quarter, leading by as many as 12 points, but Iman Shumpert caught fire, hitting three straight 3-pointers in a span of 64 seconds to spark a 12-2 run that tied the game at 72-all. Chris Copeland and J.R. Smith than added to a streak of seven consecutive 3-pointers made as the Knicks took a 92-90 lead with 5:42 remaining. Indiana's defense dug in as Anthony missed two shots and committed three turnovers.

that bolded part is pure speculation on your part. Cope was usually the 2nd option when he came into the game and the guys (melo) included would look for him. You guys are constantly making me go to my DVR (got the whole season recorded) to watch again for myself and Cope was never phased out when on the floor. I doubt Prigs would care one way or the other as long as we were winning because he doesn't want to shoot anyway. Shump knows his offense is secondary because it's his defense that keeps him on the floor and until very late in the season he was still "coming" back from the injury and not fully there.

I agree with pretty much everything else you said

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

His connects in the Nets organization? He had to be playing for the Knicks to talk to them?

I dont know where all this talk about Melo pushing Kidd out the door or Kidd having a "master plan" came from but playa sort of has a point. Both Iman and Prigs criticized the offense after we were eliminated. And of course you know Tyson did so during the season. Whether Cope was frozen out or not, guys seemed to have been less than pleased with the way we played on offense.

Prokovich the owner of the Nets wants his team to be the best team in NYC, I have to believe Kidd knows enough about the Knicks to counter whatever Woodson tries to put forth.

You must start with the premise that you have no permanent friends, no permanent enemies, just permanent interests.— Congressman William Clay, Sr.

I think the Knicks worst enemy is Dolan. We allow ourselves to get taken advantage of, and teams oblige.

Rose is not the answer.

Its all a big conspiracy to you!

So Kidd was intimate enough with the Nets ownership to know that Avery would be fired, that PJ would not make a good playoff run, that his body would break down and he'd be granted a legit shot at coaching with the nets?

If so, why not just join the Nets last summer?

"We need some more continuity as far as running something that everybody knows we're in it -- just something with more pace," he said. "We have a lot of dead possessions where we don't really have any cohesiveness. We're just sort of out there and it becomes watching whoever has the ball."

http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/knicks/post/_/id/44728/shumpert-offense-needs-more-continuity

Thats Shumps quote. As for Pigioni, I was more referring to post game interviews (the game where we were eliminated included) where he would say that the ball needs to move more and guys have to stop watching. I'll try to find a quote.

Can't say for sure but i'd bet the league wide sentiment would be something like this:

An underachieving sports franchise whose league value results from it's basis within an affluent market! An owner that has a willingness to spin $$$ historically, but failing management diminished any hopes of his team achieving a winning culture! An impatient organization, trading away youth for the starphuck! A team that usually has been widely recognized for having 1 thing without the other.. "peanut butter but no jelly", In short, not finding the right compliment for player personnel! Think, Bernard King.. Patrick Ewing.. Now Carmelo Anthony.

*Heck maybe that ain't the NBA's notion at all, It's likely my own smh

No conspiracy, that's the word you like to use when you disagree or are in denial and it's getting old sir.

Kidd took advantage of Nets ownership wanting to take over the city by beating the knicks and he jumped on it. No loyalty , bragging rights are huge in Brooklyn !

Nobody said he knew anything about Avery or PJ Carlisimo getting the boot, he had the inside information Nets ownership liked.
