Great trade if it happens......for the Celtics. I was much more afraid of the Nets when managed by Thorne. Proko and King seem like a reincarnation of Dolan/Isiah.

It can't be a good trade if they aren't really getting anything back. I agree with you about King/Prokohrov though. Those two are so myopic that I could easily see them taking Amare off our hands if we gave up some assets (Shumpert, 0icks).

If the Nets send Gerald Wallace to the Celtics, we should look to acquire him for expirers. The Celtics have no need for him and so I can see them dumping that salary to accelerate the rebuilding process.

I want no part of contracts longer then 2 years unless they are future building blocks

Fair point. You are probably right and thinking straighter.

No way to Gerald Wallace. He's completely washed up and has an awful contract. If you watched any of the Bulls-Nets series Chicago completely ignored him on the offensive end. Like, they were play 12 feet off him and packing the paint. That's a killer.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

This would definitely ignite the BK NYK rivalry. Don't know how much better BK gets though.

this will help the nets next year but it will hurt them in the future. They keep trading draft picks and adding bad contracts. Isiah used to do thbsi all the time except he got bad players not HOF players lol

No matter how down I get on Grunwald, I'm still thankful as heck we didn't get Billy Knight. A Pierce/Johnson wing combination will be God awful defensively. Meant Billy King.

True but both have haunted the Knicks when it comes to winning shots

Celtics might as well trade Rondo to tank all out go for Wiggins get cap room. They will have 2 1st rounders in 4 of the Next 5 Drafts if this goes through.

Some points on this -
Garnett has a no trade clause. He has two years left on his contract
Pierce has an option year this year, which is the last year on his contract
The 2016 and 2018 picks that are rumored to go to Boston should be very good picks, as the Nets will be old and depleted by then.

Especially when you consider they would have no real assets for trades and will be over the apron to do sign and trades.

Lillard alone would have put Brooklyn on the map for the next 10 years.

I know it is really early in the offseason and us Kicks fans want movement from our team, but I would not go salivating at what the Nets are doing.
Nets are developing a real Knack for giving up young & talented assets for players well past their primes....

After next season we have an expiring Amare that we will very likely parley into a good player from a team seeking salary relief.
After next year we have our draft picks back. I like how we are looking long term.
Let the Nets get older... that worked out really well for us this last season... lol

They have Deron and and you only know Lillard is real good with the benefit of hindsight.

At the time it made perfect sense to not draft him even if they have the pick.

I would really like to get Bass from the Cs since he is not a building block for them.

Y! Sources: As Nets-Celtics finalize a deal, the onus belongs to Kevin Garnett to approve blockbuster deal.

I'm really hoping the Nets pull this off and screw their picks for the rest of the decade..You can't make this up..It's a gift to Dolan..Billy King destroys the franchise for the decade in just two full years..
