What you're saying here is that you believe that Shumpert has the ability to be the 2nd best player in the NBA.

Without looking, I feel comfortable saying that I would trade Shumpert straight up for 90% of players that have, at some point in the past 5 seasons, made an All-Star game, received a vote for MVP, or received a vote for the All-NBA 1st, 2nd, or 3rd teams.

LOL.. If that's the way you interpret it, so be it. Bottom line is I wouldn't trade him for fodder. He has value.. will be better, and definitely projects to be 1 of the best two way players in this league.. He certainly is the BEST PERIMETER DEFENDER as it stands! Why give that up,if it doesn't substantially improve our team? Not for nothing, NYK needs to stop making lateral moves.. recognize their current talent base and build on it.. ala San Antonio, OKC.. etc.

He does not project to be one of the best two way players in the league. Offensively, he can't do anything other than hit open 3s. His mid-range game sucks, he's terrible finishing at the basket, and he has very little court vision when passing. Defensively he's great when he's on the ball. But, off the ball he's constantly losing his man because he watches the ball instead of the guy he's supposed to be guarding.

Right now I project him to be a slightly better version of Tony Allen/more athletic version of Bruce Bowen. That's certainly valuable but no way should that make him untouchable.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

We clearly disagree with each other.. that's cool! When healthy, he is one of the more explosive finishers around the rim in the A!! He can pass (will. Get better decision making when handling the ball more).. played pg at Tech.. has a developing J. Puts the clamps on defense .. That's Fact! He'll be given minutes at pg during the summer league as well wouldn't deal him, my opinion

I wouldn't deal Shumpert. Two way players are hard to find in this league.. Shumpert's offense will develop. Trading Chandler would have to be considered.. s&t JR/Chandler #24 for Aldridge and 39 and 40. We got a deal!

You do realize that Aldridge is very much a two way player? The only difference between him and Shumpert, is that Aldridge actually IS an all-star caliber player.

Yes, Aldridge is good at rebounding and scoring .. but i'm not dealing Shumpert as a filler to complete a Chandler swap. No i bueno! I also realize that Aldridge is soft!
