and no one on the team could score...he was clearly (and now officially) hurt...and he pretty much had to keep shooting...

the team's structure relied on melo being a beast, which he can be and was a lot of the season...

should we ignore those details?

The only thing mind blowing is how such redundant threads continue to pop up. Another thread for haters to come say I told you so. Another rehashing of the same old same old, same old, same old.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Are you equally upset with Playa's Bernard King thread? It's just as redundant as this one is.

I love Melo, want nothing more for this man then to see him at least reach the finals..

But it's Statistics like this that makes you realize he still doesn't get it by a long shot. No ones hating on melo, were hating the way he plays in the playoffs, there's obviously a difference. Im not pro melo, and I'm not hating on him, but how can you debate this..

LOL I here ya...It's a million ways to look at his poor judgement, and you right, it's a dead horse beating. But every week there seems to be more evidence for some one to prove there case and convince pro melo-ers that he may not be the answer to our title hopes

I get what others say about Melo and he isnt going to be good enough as a lead piece but he could be a high level 2nd piece. Unfortunately they are stuck with dead weight in Amare and until he comes off the books there isnt much the Knicks can do. We have to see what happens with Melo's extension to truly weigh in on him. I hope if Melo signs a cap friendly deal some of the 1's who are over the top will ease up on him some. If he holds the Knicks hostage and trys to get a max extension then he deserves open season ripping. I believe the Knicks made it as far as they could of with the roster they have. There arent enough good players on this team. While Melo deserves much of the blame for the loss its not like other players surrounding him played so well and he was dragging them down. The players the Knicks leaned on all year Chandler, JR Smith, Jason Kidd, Ray Felton, were just as bad if not worse then him

Its only 2 years until Amare is off the books. Need to make sure you have enough room for a max free agent to go with Melo, Shumpert, Felton, Smith (assuming he is resigned), Novak, and our first round pick, then we should be fine. Picture adding someone like LaMarcus Aldridge to the mix who can be a very solid 1B option for example.

guys like him I dislike, but can deal with as long as they are not on my team..... come to my team, cost us assets, to get here, and then dislike turns into all types of bad things.. hahaha..

it is like that bad kid at your kids school.. you may not like them, but as long as they are not in your house, you don't bother... as soon as they step foot through your doors... lol.. its on!!!

LA won's solve the problem with this group.. honestly, felton is a backup.. Novak is just not that good, Shumpert, don't know how good he may be, or if he is just another 6th man option.... smith? jesus christ... really? and carmelo? sorry, this is not much of a core here, and LA is not going to make this group that much better.. now keep shumpert, Add LA and go from there and you may be onto something....

You're not a hater numbers don't lie.....I'm somewhat jealous of your findings. I think Melo looks at the game of basketball as if he's playing Double Dribble...anyone remember that game? It was essentially 2 on 2. I think Melo feels he's either the only one or at best he may be playing with 1 other teammate and that he can shoot the rock whenever, wherever, however, whatever, and don't question whyever.

As his career goes along he becomes more and more zero sum

I'm just naming players who will still be on the books, why are you breaking them down negatively to me like i'm endorsing them? But Melo, LA, Shumpert, and our draft picks is a good start. I know you disagree with Melo but thats fine.

The only thing mind blowing is how such redundant threads continue to pop up. Another thread for haters to come say I told you so. Another rehashing of the same old same old, same old, same old.

I don't understand why it is redundant.
Some posters have expressed an opinion about this and it led to some discussions... My story is that I was amazed not by an opinion but by a stat, stat that I wanted to share.
If you don't like to discuss on facts because those facts are opposed to your opinion, please feel free to ignore this thread and refrain from posting.

it is redundant because, EVERY thread where Melo is mentioned becomes THIS THREAD. AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO FLAME the shyte out of it. Every day this same discussion goes on between the same posters, regarding the same issue of whether Melo sucks ass or not. Its been going on since before the playoffs started. Every damn day, often in MULTIPLE threads at the same time.

Unfortunately I have been too busy today to FLAME THIS THREAD the way I intended but, stay tuned.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

It's redundant because he disagrees with your view
When an equally redundant thread is positive towards Carmelo, he doesn't mind.

"I love melo". "I'm not pro-melo". All in the same post- makes sense if you don't think about it...it doesn't matter if you don't like melo, there is no need to pretend you do and then refute your claim a few sentences later. If you hate melo's game, then why would you love melo, it's not like he's some saintly figure off the basketball court. Just give your opinion straight up, no need for double talk.

For the record, I absolutely believe you are a diehard fan that wants to see this team succeed, I just don't buy that you "love melo"- which is fine, I don't love him either.
