1. More motivation for his next payday

In JR's defense (seems as if no one else will go to bat for him) he did have a viral infection and fluid on the knee. If this is true, I respect him for not making excuses.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Injury and illness is one thing.

The constant partying and clubbing in the middle of a playoff run is another thing.

Ive heard JRs brother is all over twitter telling people he and JR will be with the Knicks next season. Someone has to severely overpay for JR not to come back.
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

I hope a team comes out and takes him and his brother off off the Knicks hand.

He would be great in Chicago and we'd all regret it. Don't know how good he'll be here again....
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

I expected this. Jr screwed himslef out of a lo of money because of his playoff antics. New York is the only place that would sign him to decent money anyway

jr smith is not a playoff-type basketball player. all sizzle no steak. that's the problem with this group... not enough playoff-type basketball players.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

m Very True. I loved getting 54 wins but a lot of our guys like melo jr and tyson struggled again in the post season. Yes they were injured but most players are injured during this time of year

Playoff Basketball players like Chandler and Kidd yeah they were real useful this postseason. Wasnt that the point of having the oldest roster in the NBA.

constant clubbing....because Rhianna says so on twitter??? There is NO documented proof or evidence to such a fact which, he himself denied.

.R. Smith was seen out at Greenhouse nightclub [following Game 2 against the Indiana Pacers, resulting in a win: 79-105] in support of Pop songstress Rihanna’s MAC Lipstick release party. Rihanna’s new “RiRiWoo” red lip has been flying off the online and in store shelves and needless to say girls are losing all chill to have another piece of Rih’s look.
J.R. took to his to Twitter showing all his followers how much fun he was having in the club just a few nights ago, immediately following Game 1 of the New York Knicks versus Indiana Pacers. His shortcomings played a huge role in the loss the Knicks left with after game 1 against the Pacers so comments flew — beginning with blaming his missed shots and poor focus during the game on his heavy drinking, and long nights in clubs.

If nothing else, he is a player with some skills and a $3 mil expiring contract to include in trades.

There was a feed with the real JR twitter on UK home page, so I followed it to twitter.

Firstly, I can barely understand a word JR says. Can someone please translate? All I can gather is that it's alot about being out till 3-4 AM and sleeping all day.

"JR Smith ‏@TheRealJRSmith 12h
Need help! RT @iammissbaker: I wanna be sleep tho" - is this a reference to being coked up and can't sleep?

"After the knife! RT @blueprintball: @TheRealJRSmith chillin, man. Went and watched DWest and the boys tonight. When you coming to Miami?" - Is JR having surgery?

"JR Smith ‏@TheRealJRSmith 15h
Go Follow @fadeddaysusa and if you like em cop some... You see I got mines....! #summerheat… http://instagram.com/p/aH1U5qNfLH/ " - talking about cop some is just stupid JR, regardless of what you really mean by it.

"GrandHustle ‏@amazingjon23 12h
“@TheRealJRSmith: I will soon as i get on this bird! RT @writerinmotion: @TheRealJRSmith go to sleep!” On that coke! I see you!"

Yeah, they were during the post-season.
There were rumors he was doing cocaine too but they may be completely false.

I do not pretend to know what color her hair is everyday. It only takes a few hours to color the hair.
You're right I don't have legal proof. I never said I did.
