Short memories!Lebron can just stay in Miami- Heat can either trade Bosh and/or Wade for assets or an upgrade, or give Lebron the choice of new co-stars when their salaries come off the books next year.
Not sure what wade and bosh would get in a trade in a year or two. Wade is going to age poorly over the next couple years and bosh is a wildcard as well. Miami has no other young players with big upside. They might attract a couple free agents, but lebron is going to be in a tough position in a couple years if he stays. This is the peak for the Heat, it's downhill from here.
I would even go as far as saying the Knicks will be in better position then miami in 2 years with Melo still in the fold and I expect him to age well, shumpert continuing to hopefully emerge as a bigtime player, and max cap space. This is of course looking at the heat without lebron committing yet.
