You're trying too hard to make it sound like there's an anti-Knicks conspiracy. Even Pacer homer Reggie Miller called that an accidental elbow. It's going to have to be unambiguously malicious for the player to get suspended.

It's nothing to do with the Knicks- its about selectively implementing the rules, depending on the player. that is clearly an intentional elbow, I genuinely don't understand how anyone could dispute that.

Again, even Reggie disagrees with you. If I were trying to elbow someone, I wouldn't try to jump up above or around them. I've never seen someone intentionally elbow a player by jumping above them. The legs don't assist in elbowing someone. It wouldn't make sense.

I never seen someone try to jump over someone like that and not use a swim move to do it. That play and his movement struck me as strange. Usually, you don't see a player jump that high to get around a player who is not on the ground or see a player keep his forearm locked. Should he get suspended, IDK or care. Wade didn't get suspended last year when he pushed Collinson in the back. Wade does a lot of stuff other players would get suspended or ejected for. imo.

I don't see any malicious intent. A foul call is the most you can give and even that isn't a given.

I'm assuming malicious intent because it's Wade and he's dirty as **** but I don't think it warrants anymore than a personal foul.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

If wade couldnt get suspended for that then theres no way. The only way I can see him getting suspended is if Lance somehow got a concussion from the hit and then ESPN talks about it and calls attention to the play. That would kind of force Stern's hand.

Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

And it so often occurs after he feels he didnt get a foul call. Really cant stand the guy...

That is clearly NOT an intentional elbow.

Wade was looking to his left rather than forward initially and probably didn't see Stephenson. Then he looks forward and tries to go over Stephenson. He would have cleared Stephenson but for some reason Stephenson jumps about 6 inches off the ground.

he left his feet and led with his elbow to get around stephenson. that was a premeditated move, and if it followed a no-call for him then it is even more damning since he is a notorious crybaby.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

There's really no point in repeating the arguments. But they only give suspensions when it's obvious it was intentional - when 100% of people who look at it say it was intentional. It's obvious from here and from TV commentators that it's just a small minority who think it was definitely intentional. I say "definitely" intentional because I'm not 100% sure it was accidental but I'm definitely not 100% sure it was intentional.

It warrants a personal foul but even that wasn't called. The foul call a few seconds later was on Chalmers.

IMO, that was intentional by Wade but not an intentional foul. More of a Kevin Garnett dirty little foul which he makes believe was an accident. Wade sized up Stephenson and knew what he was doing with the elbow to the head, but was looking downcourt to make it seem like it was accidental.

You know that the league retroactively called it a flagrant foul? I think the refs just didn't see it.

If a Knicks did what Wade did he would have been suspended and shown the nearest nearest nightclub.

I don't think so. Maybe the refs missed it but I agree it would be a suspension. Battier's knee to Hibbert's groin in game 1 might have been a suspension as well.

You know what it's guite funny how before anyone wrote a thing on this thread I knew what side the favor for or against would fall.
Look Wade is a pro and the way of getting away with that kind of foul is like flopping of a foul. You just pretend that you dont see him. And D Wade is good at it. As a matter of fact the Heat instead of being in South Beach they need to go to Hollywood because they are the best actors in the league. The Pacers can forget it they are done LeBron and the Heat has turned Paul George into Boy George.

I just had 2 problem with the paceras series. Hibbert gets away with most body contact an Tyson does not. West gets touch fouls when he is one of the most physical people in the nba. Check out his picks, every time right before he picks he give a push or a small elbow to create space. He backs down in the post like a bull but if you brace youself against the backdown its a foul on melo. He gets away with so much that the few times they actually call it he throws his hands up in pure disbelief.
No calls for the Knicks. Now no calls for Pacers. What happened to the NBA?? With Refs controling who win or lose.
