No way, Cousins is way too talented to give up on this soon and Tyson adds nothing to a terrible team like Sacramento.

The most logical destination for a Tyson trade would be to a good team looking to upgrade center to put them over the top. Also, any Tyson trade needs to have a center coming back to us. Around the trade deadline I thought LAC, GS, and OKC were the best fits in terms of fit and need but I don't think that's the case anymore; GS is not trading Bogut after the postseason he just had and I want nothing to do with Perkins so both those teams are out. Looking around the league today I think the most likely trade partners are LAC, for DeAndre and Bledsoe, or Denver for a package involving Javale McGee.

My big hope this offseason is that we can upgrade our shaky, inconsistent backcourt. We should be willing to take a slight downgrade at center for an upgrade at guard. And I believe Tyson still has plenty of value around the league; he was voted into the AllStar game by the coaches and then All-Defensive 1st team by those same coaches.

+1 to everything you said.

Knicks need a PF too can't have Melo being out of position.

I don't think he is out of position at PF. Melo just had maybe the best individual season of his career and we had our best season in over a decade with him playing PF. We also consistently looked much better with him at PF than with a traditional lineup of two bigs and Melo at SF. Even this series, where going small should have been a great disadvantage, when we played a traditional lineup with Tyson at C, Kenyon at PF, and Melo at SF we looked absolutely terrible and we got outrebounded by 8 in that quarter.

Three of the four remaining teams in the playoffs start two brutish big men; the 4th team that doesn't has LeBron who is the great equalizer in the NBA. We might need to reconsider our smallball lineup moving forward especially since these teams are going to be around for a while.

best scenario for me if I don't cool down in 2 weeks.

3 team trade:

L.A. : Tyson

Port : Jordan

NY : Bledsoe, Leonard, # 11 pick, trade exception.

11 pick kelly O or Zeller or best available

S& T for paul millsap if draft a center or maybe al Jefferson if they don't go center

I'm not a fan of Al Jefferson for this team but love everything else you're proposing. I think we could also get back Luke Babbit in that POR trade who might still develop into something. I also think we need to get back Jeremy Lamb from OKC. He might make Smith expendable in the near future, which is a best case scenario IMO. Maybe we could even move JR Smith to POR to get their lottery pick and get back an exception to bring in JJ Redick.

Knicks need bodies that can play next year.

Deandre Jordan and Eric Bledsoe would be great additions. Knicks get more athletic.

Follow that up with a trade for serviceable PF and we ready to go again next year.

They got no reason to keep him if they re-sign Martin. They'd get rid of him if the price is right.

Screamin A after the game said Woodson told him when Chandler got sick at end of season, he lost like 15 lbs and never recovered. What is this guy doing that he keeps getting sick for past 2 playoffs? I thought he had a bad year, but this series was downright embarassing

Woodson making excuses to keep Chandlers trade value up.

Long shot idea with Milwaukee since no one wants to willingly play there.

S&T Brandon Jennings AND Larry Sanders plus filler
for
Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton

Knicks get young pieces they can parlay later in a trade.

Bucks Lineup:
Chandler
Ilyasova
Moute
Reddick
Felton

I'd even throw in Novak.

You mean chandler's ashes? Hibbert burned him so bad the dude's probably charred to a crisp. The ESPN morons that did this game were still praising this clown, so maybe there are still fools out there that will relieve us of this bearded albatross.

I don't like Jennings because he's a major chucker, but he's better than Felton and sanders is better than chandler. Seems like a one-sided trade.

+1, that is actually the perfect description of chandler, he's a soft little fashion bug, we need a thug.

Why do people make out, when a player goes through a stretch where they stink, that thats the real them and the previous years of achievement were just an illusion? No way is Tyson as bad a player as he showed in these playoffs. He was a lot more inconsistent this season and his defense slipped, but hopefully he can get back on track after an offseason of rest.

One thing I will say, he looked pale and thin since coming back- didn't look right at all.

Seriously, who would people rather have at center who is actually obtainable? Remember you only have the vet minimum and maybe the MMLE (unless we have to spend it on JR)- Earl Baron? You think a 37 year old K-Mart is going to ast a full season at C?

Please not Brandon Jennings...the guy is flat out reckless and throws up bricks. Al Jefferson is a dominant offensive player but we might suffer on the other end of the floor.
