Can't hate Tyson for the Knicks giving him Starter money!

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

The problem is that we have a team full of solid roll players and bench performers.

Tyson is a better bench player, along with most of our starters. Unfortunately, get used to him.
He's not going anywhere!

How could he be semi-productive in the regular season and just vanish completely the last 2 playoffs?

What's up with that? You throw a slow 7 footer with a little weight in front of him and he just completely disappears.

Also its mind boggling to me, that Chandler undoubtedly trashed Dwight last year, but Hibbert made him his b*tch this series.

I think Chandler gets traded, if possible, as he is potentially the one valuable piece we have that might be tradeable.

Championship contenders - NOT EVEN CLOSE
Well coached - NOPE
Good defensive team - HA HA HA
Predictable ISO-heavy stagnant offense, with zero imagination - HELL YES

You must have asuperstar to win
Team with so called superstar - 2-4
Team without a star player (and w/o their Best player) - 4-2
You do the math

SECOND in the EAST - Yeah but we can't beat the Pacers, and we barely beat a injured and hobbled Boston

Greatest closer in the game
Started game on fire, had a lot of help from Shumpert and Cope who were shooting lights out, not able to close.
Completely disappeared in Q4 - I was told some fans would take him over anyone else in the league for last 5 minutes of a game

Returning DPOY
WHO???

Starting PG of the future
0-8 shooting in critical Game 6 loss, I miss John Starks and Charlie Ward

Woodson
All the tough talk about championship contention - tsk tsk
Accountability my @$$ - completely mishandled JR in the playoffs - ZERO accountability
For a greast defensive coach - well his defense actually SUCKS
Less said the better about offense

In retrospect, did exactly what I expected - Good regualr season followed by sucky playoff run. If Rondo wasn't injured probably wouldn't have made it past he first round even if all of our injured players were healthy as well.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I hope JR leaves this team for many reasons
- Ballhog

- Not a reliable second option
- Does not know his priorities
- Saves us a roster spot( his brother)

Grunwald rolled the dice on old players and he lost! Can't do that again next year. Gotta find some younger options. Don't know how they'll do that with no money, but that's his job.

Very happy with Melo's effort, Prigs, Shump, Felton, Cope and KMart. They all had good moments in the playoffs. We really aren't sufficiently deep with quality 2 way players. JR really killed us after the elbow. Imagine if he would've played anywhere near his normal output?

The problem is that JR was allowed to ruin the series by Woodson. Woody didn't respond to the needs of the team. Played Cope too late in the series. Never even got things settled at all. The Pacers never changed what they do and have done as a team. That was really a well coached team. They had a strong series from top to bottom.

Its not even just defense. He's 7-1 and hasn't committed a post move to memory. Its pathetic that a man much closer to the end of his career than the beginning of it has no means to score a basketball, at that size, without someone force feeding you dunks and alley oops. Hibbert beat him by putting forth a consistent effort on both ends of the floor, not just one.

Indy played to their strength, which happens to be our weakness...OFFENSE AND DEFENSE IN THE POST!

Pablo needs to come back, shumpert will have a big year next year, jr smith was brutal but if he picks up his option which is only 2.8 million then i will give him another shot. They need to draft a big man

Yes but even with all of that, if you execute at a high level you can beat a team like the Pacers. We had a TON of poorly executed plays all series. We blanked out on D way too may times all series. We didn't even play our style of BB for MOST of the playoffs. That's a coaching problem. When you have a team full of guys that have shot the 3 all year and they you leave a few of those guys on the bench it makes no sense.

Yep. The FT disparity all series was ridiculous and tonight utterly ridiculous. Hill got 4 free points in the last 2 minutes. THe "fouls" on Shump were horrible calls. KMart did not even touch Hill.

All that being said, you are right. NY can pay a lot less for a guy to play better then Chandler. The dude got schooled all series long.

JR, enjoy clubbing in Milwaukee.

Kidd, time to retire.

Felton, learn to shoot the teardrop all summer.

I don't see Woodson coaching this team to a championship, so he has to go too. Make the call to Phil. You have 2 years to win. That's it.

Oh and Not playing STAT at all in the 2nd half was dumb. He actually played Hibbert well.

What pisses me off is that when we bodied their guys up, it was a foul but when they did the same, it was a play on. West was physically holding guys to restrict their movement and the guy never got called for that foul. Shumpert swipped at Hill, hardly making contact with him and definitely not impeding his path to the lane and it ended up being a foul on both occasions. The whole reffjng crew was ridiculous although they improved in the 2nd half, whicb doesn't say much

Grunwald is going to make wholesale changes this summer. Team is literally Melo and castaways.

Our draft pick is likely going to be traded too.

Knicks have Tyson, Felton, Kidd, Shumpert, Camby, and our pick. That is ALOT of salary to bring back players.

The following need to go if we are to have any future playoff success:

Smith
Felton
Chandler
Woodson

We will be a better team if these individuals are subtracted from the team. No question that this series was a complete disappointment. They were outhustled in nearly every game and outplayed defensively. They were also outcoached and outclassed by an opponent who is good, but not this good. The Pacers are not this type of powerhouse team. A better supporting cast and a different coach beat this team. But Woodson chose to bench Prigioni numerous times and stick with Smith and Felton down the stretch. This core has failed. It's time to break it up and bring in some new pieces because this team as currently constructed and coached will not advance past round 2 in the future.

Grunwald is gonna need to come up with an actual plan for building up the rest of the roster with players that will fill the needs on this team.

1. Melo is still the core piece but after that you really don't have much.
2. Love Shump and expect him to improve next year. He made a really good come back from ACL surgery.
3. Wish we could upgrade the PG spot. Felton is OK, but hes not a real setup PG and Prigs is a solid backup PG.
4. Wish we had a real SG too. JR is just not the answer from what i've seen. I'd like a player we could trust to make good decisions. Just don't know how we get that kind of player.
5. The Bigs situation is really rough. We've got old guys and not much else. our bigs are really weak too.

With all of that said, I don't feel like this team is that far away from being better. It's not like we had nothing working at all. A lot went right. It just seems bad with all these old guys signed to contracts that we can't play and can't trade.
